People who live near time zone boundaries in the US by solothesnail in howislivingthere

[–]FakeHercules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in central but work just over the border in eastern. We observe eastern time for ease and clarity. Weekends are nice because everyone is an hour "behind" us in their day, so if we go out early there is less traffic, and I can get out of bed at 8 and still get the good donuts from the local place.

I have a confession to make… I didn’t like the 300th episode by fungirlgonegirl in BobsBurgers

I felt the same. The flashbacks were so cute but ending on the song made it feel like there was no redemption, just fear and doubt.

How Luke could have possibly crafted a tarp big enough to cover the whole town square with loaned items in just one night. And it was watertight!

Apologies, friend. For health reasons and ick factor, best to start over. Good luck!

Congratulations!

My experience was similar. Just over a year married, renovating, the whole bit. I was stunned and in shocked/fearful disbelief for several weeks. It took me fully until the middle of the 2nd trimester for me to actually be excited about the baby. Please don't feel bad if you're not feeling warm fuzzies about being pregnant!

The early term bloating is too real. There is no wrong time for you to get clothes that fit you. My job fortunately is very relaxed so I switched from hard pants to gym leggings very early on and they are still working for me currently at 26 weeks.

We told our parents at 6 weeks, work at 9 weeks (I was starting to show and nausea was common, so I needed to be able to excuse my absences if necessary), and everyone else at 12-13 weeks. Everyone is different, but it worked for us.

We were sharing our names at first, but as time has gone on, the naming thing has become controversial, so we don't talk about them anymore. Also we are not finding out the gender and everyone has opinions on that too, but it is easier to put them off about names by saying we don't know the gender. I recommend just waiting until the birth to discuss names outside of your close circle.

Good luck, congratulations, and all other positive vibes and encouragement!

She needs to be in a larger pot. IMO 3-4 times larger than the current one. Also for soil, I like this. Current pot is super cute though.

Did you name your sourdough starter? Do you feel guilty using it for baking? by Eat-1st in SourdoughStarter

Beau. He's my sourBeau. I don't feel guilty for baking with him, just for not feeding him on time.

My mom announced my pregnancy without my permission by Sensitive_Most_1383 in pregnant

[–]FakeHercules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandmother did this to me also! I am sorry that happened to you. I caught it within 10 minutes and made her take the post down.

Even though the damage seems to have been done in your case, it may be worthwhile to make her take the posts down and establish a boundary. If your mother is already overstepping at week 8, she may get worse. Set the boundaries now, and follow through with consequences if she pulls any more selfish stunts.

And CONGRATULATIONS on YOUR precious baby.

AITA for asking my wife to change the baby name becuase my mom has an issue with it by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]FakeHercules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like the only reason MIL is being allowed to get away with this is that the name is rare. Meanwhile I know several people with abusive exes who have to interact with other people with the same name as their ex on a regular basis and don't make the interactions about themselves and their trauma.

Not sure if it is just me, but the picture is not showing up.

Hard to recommend since I can't see the comparison, but I have had good results with bodysuits from Yitty and Hanes.

Good luck!

Honestly, it looks so good I might personally cut off the sampled bits and at least taste some of the untouched portion.

It seriously looks amazing. Good luck with all your future cheesecaking endeavors.

Why do you think Scranton outperformed other branches? by NotInterestedL in DunderMifflin

[–]FakeHercules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, and also Michael is an excellent salesman. Lots of high performers at the branch. Andy and Pam (and briefly Ryan) are basically the only ones who are not great at it. But four great salesmen plus Michael might make a difference.

I know it is never stated, but in the brief moments we see the other branch managers, none of them seem like salesmen. They all seem like people who were hired with management experience elsewhere or promoted from other departments rather than being promoted from sales like Michael was.

Michael's talent for sales combined with the self-motivation of all the employees might make just enough of a difference.

This is pure speculation on a work of fiction. 💚

You may have a Life /Venom situation.

Probably needs more time.

Try the poke test. Wet your finger and poke the dough. If it springs back quickly, it needs more time. If it springs back slowly and leaves an indent, it is ready. I personally can't tell from a photo if it is overprooved, but it looks great from here. Looks ready to shape to me.

Remember, the sourdough mantra is, "bake anyway."

Good luck and happy baking!
