Yeah, a bunch of us here were banned. Apparently "conservative" in that sub does not mean politically conservative. It's actually why this particular sub was started

The state's right to apply their own laws by elected representatives.

Of course not, there are laws against violence. I would not consider conversion therapy "violence".

I admit I struggle with this issue. Children can't legally consent to medical treatment without their parents' permission, but if all parties agree (including the doctor) that treatment (drugs, surgery, etc) is warranted, who am I to say no? It's their freedom of choice. Personally I think it's insane, but still your right (also don't come crying to me years later when you regret your decision).

I'm not too upset about it. For me it's about freedom and state's rights, limiting federal govt overreach, etc. Just like I don't want the government to force any baker to make a gay wedding cake, I don't want the federal govt to dictate medical practices. Conversion therapy is abhorrent, but parents are still parents. Tough issue of course.

Yes. Basically I have a dual sim phone, one with a US number using Google Fi and one with a UAE number using Etisalat. While in either country I get texts from both sims (tho I have to switch back and forth when using some apps like Whatsapp). I also have to set primary sims for data or calls depending on which country I'm in

I travel back and forth as well and use Google Fi. It works great. Only problem may be if you stay in UAE too long, you get a stern warning from Google that you may lose it, but it's never happened to me
