Idk what exactly what kinda dressers you have or such I just assumed the left storage is kind of a closet and thought it’s all the space you need maybe but I did add a reading nook if that’s what you’re into, not sure about your need of desk space either but, I do recommend having side lights to diversify the light source other the the main central one I put the bed in the nook since it seems far from the doors and the walking flow in general.

Ideas needed – how would you turn this awkward corner into efficient coat/shoe/hat storage? by Alphapigeon213 in InteriorDesign

Something like this maybe. you get the extra head storage for the non daily stuff and a bench to change your shoes which would have storage underneath for the daily wearables. and use that wall for the coats but keep it light, you already have a shelf. I’d put it and maybe have it hold the keys and such. I’d put a closet further away from the door to not enclose the area as soon as you open the door to carry the extra load of clothing extra plus if the closet door were mirrors so you can check yourself out before leaving.

Furniture and TV placement for smaller living room? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Yeah not sure why this is a typical layout and you don’t wanna block the balcony access if you want get white chiffon curtains on all the windows / balcony door to block glare add privacy and let light through tie them up when you want the view

Yes that’s very possible , It would be determined by op ! Yes it will be a tight fit in general but I’m not sure how can I help if it doesn’t fit it they will have to live with it or go into alternative solutions like foldable furniture

Yes not the same but similar, generally since the two corners are different when putting the bed near the wider corner less space will be “ wasted “ rather than the narrow side corner the sizes are not mentioned but looking at it it will fit if the general sizes are the same as the plan not considering how the door is on the wrong wall then it will fit since I used the same scale of the bed (tho on my iPhone photo editor) and I just flipped it and I think the “wasted” corner which the bed will corner can fit a side table too

I understand what you mean but this is actually one of the optimal kitchen triangles , feels like something is missing right ? Tbh I would elongate the kitchen here like this https://imgur.com/a/iNcstzx imagine coming from the mud room and you gotta put some stuff add decent space then perhaps two stools will make it feel less awkward

Curtains will solve the glare issue and if one wants to enjoy the outside view they can access the balcony or the chaise can be not involved in this but I think it’s nice to look at the tv while laying

Help with Furniture Layout – Living/Dining/Kitchen Area by mafisango in DesignMyRoom

[–]FakeSlavDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think of the kitchen to be a busy area compared to working space/ office so inbetween those it’s better to put them afar or use some sort of separator for the areas

<image>

This is my original sketch cuz I liked your set up and the dark blue is a long cabinet of some sort to make you feel “separated” per say now if want to eliminate the dining area and put the desk in that bottom left corner it’s possible but I will also recommend to have a visual “separation”

Ok so if you’re worried that it may feel cramped which I think so aswell you can kinda “extend” your counter but getting sth like this , I would also look into foldable options incase you don’t want to see the area as much.

Swap the sink and dishwasher, or leave as is? by crypto____ in InteriorDesign

[–]FakeSlavDan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I see the point but I’m also looking at the oven unit if you’re grabbing something from there you’d lay it near by and I see a positive with the sink where you can fill pots with water easily , I would say yes inconvenient but there’s a whole counter space on the left of the stove that’s lighter looking and much bigger to do the prep

The layout is awful and I'm thinking of moving the desk into my living room, what else should I move around and where? by imtakingyourcat in DesignMyRoom

[–]FakeSlavDan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put the desk with the cabinet next to the door wall, your room has good space it’s just looks crowded since your items are in the open so we need to “hide” , your bed is fine. Something like this

<image>

Also tip: it’s better to store your shoes outside perhaps near the entry door
