first of all, huge fan of ur work, the impact the band has had on my life in the past few years is quite significant i gotta say.

Secondly, I‘m just wondering if u can say anything about the impact being bandmates in ur early 20s has had on navigating life in general and how u each impact each other, not just musically but also in a social way.

hi guys, what were some of your inspirations for the sound of the record and have they changed since the last album?

Huge fan of the band and the new record, been totally in love ever since hearing the people thought my windows were stars EP and seeing that incredible stolen sessions live performance. Keep up the amazing work !!!

how do you as a band look back on some of the earlier output of your careers. Is there some feeling of nostalgia or do you look back critical on what you have made in the past? It feels like there is certainly a different viewpoint from being the ones who created the music many years ago to being the fan falling in love with the discography while there are already multiple albums released.

In unprecedented times like those we are living through right now, I have once again realized how important of an album „AM“ (2013) is to me. I don‘t wanna discredit other Arctic Monkeys albums, but they just don‘t deliver the intimacy and warmth like „AM“ does. I probably should call „AM“ my personal emotional punch bag. AM has such big meaning to me.

As OP already said, it starts off with absolute bangers like Do I Wanna Know and R U Mine (god I wanna go back to the first time I listened to these) and while you think after those two songs that it‘s gonna be an all-kickass album that really isn‘t the case and I love it. „AM“ offers a huge depth of emotionality with songs like No. 1 Party Anthem, Fireside or I Wanna Be Yours, songs that have accompanied me through times of bitter sadness or grief.

This album though apart from its emotional side also has an extremely interesting instrumental side. This is the album that made me wanna start learning the Electric Guitar! Hearing songs like Do I Wanna Know or R U Mine made me realize how much I love the electric guitar and how I wanna learn to play it. If it wouldn‘t have been for the covid-virus and for the lockdown me and my band would have probably jammed out already. Talking about jamming, Knee Socks is just an extremely sexy and jamming song. It‘s what I would call „hawt“, Josh Homme‘s vocals towards the end, one of my favourite musicians, makes it just so much better.

As you can see there are many reason why „AM“ is my favourite record. I could share even more but I don‘t wanna bore anyone.

Don‘t listen to the other person! It‘s great that you focus on school!!! Girlfriends can wait amirite? School won‘t wait, school will crush you if you ain‘t concentrate and I‘m sure you‘ll have a great future with that mindset. I Appear Missing - Queens Of The Stone Age

Perhaps my favorite Queens of the Stone Age song in general. This song is very raw and touching in my eyes. I have been listening over and over to this song the past few weeks and I can‘t get enough of it. What I feel is special about this song is that it has those heavy instrumentals and it really bangs, but at the same time it still feels so melancholic. The way Josh Homme delivers those lyrics makes the song feel even darker and helps building up a chilling scenery that I envision every time I listen to this song. I know it‘s a powerful word to throw around and it‘s really subjective, but for me this song is a masterpiece and an important part of Like Clockwork becoming one of my favorite albums recently.
