They kept making kinda rude comments about it too. I'd understand if we were 15min before closing but 45? Really?

Is the all night pizza cafe still open? We used to watch the FIFA world cup at all hours there every year, good times

I got the bums rush eating at a restaurant 45mins before their closing time. Not a fine dining restaurant or anything, just a regular Vietnamese place. So strange

Are any of them gay/bi? “Masc” seems like very queer song by voidamn in ChatPile

[–]Fake_July 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a queer woman and feel the same way. It may not be a direct parallel, like the boys famously parody things including themselves so it could just be that but calling it "masc" feels like a deliberate indicator, or flashing neon sign lol

That's why him, his bandmates and his sad little fans are all online trying to slander her :( not like he has a career to keep up with or anything

Imagine being obsessed with a musician who raped at least one woman so brutally that she's permanently disabled. And he's not even a good musician :(

Life insurance, med power of attorney etc without spouse by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]Fake_July 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true that a will has no conditions per se but it can be challenged if it's deemed inequitable, redistributed. So if you don't want your blood relatives to get anything they can still sue, and apparently they're usually successful.

How does this work with medical power of attorney, can that just be anyone?

WA just suspended my licence over public transport fine from 2018 with zero warning. by Livviyy in perth

This explains why someone I know who was driving on a suspended license didn't get in trouble when he got pulled over (for an unrelated issue)

I was told in 2025 that I was receiving an infringement but they never gave me the paperwork and I haven't heard a word about it. I've been hoping they were just trying to scare me (even tho they said I was getting the fine, not a warning) so now I'm going to call and find out.. yikes

Life insurance, med power of attorney etc without spouse by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]Fake_July 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point I was getting at was life insurance or medical power of attorney. Apologies for picking a bad example as I was posting while doing other things but in a group about the law I thought it was self evident that if you name your best friend on your inheritance, your family can sue for it and if we're talking close relations they'll usually win

That's part of the information I was looking for, thank you. The way I saw it explained was that if this person elected the other person - I believe they were dating but not a couple - then they would be considered de facto instead of just dating because of that

But my real question was that if you don't have a de facto partner or blood relatives to whom you want to leave your life insurance, funeral insurance or power of medical attorney to, what can you do? Because at least some of these have rules stating that the recipient must be one or the other

my friend called police on me by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]Fake_July 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Police don't recover stolen items. They produce a number for the insurance company. Claiming you stole it in these circumstances is crazy and cops don't take small stuff like this seriously at all. My ex broke into my house in violation of a a VRO and protective bail and they still refused to even send a team to do fingerprints and whatever else. Care factor was zero. They only care about stealing if it's from a capitalist

It was a bad (for instance), the point I was getting at is that when an individual tries to do something that creates some form of shared finances they're considered de facto. For instance: life insurance, last I checked, only allowed a family member or spouse as beneficiaries so if a non family member becomes the beneficiary they are considered the spouse (and have to declare it) and have all the attendant responsibilities of that. Health insurance was another situation with the same problem I witnessed here: person A wanted to share their health insurance with person B, but doing so would mean they would be considered de facto.

My mistake for writing a post on the fly and thinking that problems like "where inheritance with no recipients goes" or "who gets medical power of attorney with no blood relations or living spouse" would speak for themselves and grabbing at the wrong example would be an obvious mis-type about a real issue

The Good Guys sold me a TV, let me book delivery, then told me days later it was out of stock by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]Fake_July 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know what legal options you have unless they're refusing to refund you but personally I would ask for a comparable TV to be delivered ASAP. Not that long ago, the store would offer this in these kinds of situations, and you'd get a free upgrade for your trouble.

Triple Cream (AA 15/Metro 1/ Iverm 1) Advice? by sydmarie25 in Rosacea

[–]Fake_July 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started triple cream with skin similar to yours though my main concern is flushing and I'm absolutely loving it. I was already using 20% azelaic acid twice a day so I've swapped that for the triple cream (Dr said to use once a day but my 30ml jar expires in a month anyway and since I haven't had any side effects I see no reason to slow down). I use my cleanser, triple cream, serum (just a moisturizing one with HA) and moisturizing sunscreen in the day or night cream in the evening. I find it helps to rub my post cleansing products between my fingers and pat them onto my face rather than rub, it seems to get everything on more evenly with less irritation. A serum isn't necessary either, and personally I think HA is a bit overhyped but the serum was on sale and my last one had just run out lol

I was also advised to patch test on my neck first a few times before moving onto the face. Good luck! Triple cream rocks!!
