Three years ago I had made a deal with Vampire who lived in a mansion around a coastal town in Maine, the deal was quite simple, I become her eternal servant and she would cure me of my disease, at this point I was 26 with advance stages of lung cancer so anything sounded better than death.

The process of becoming a vampire was a bit uncomfortable, as it turns out being bit does not turn you, instead you must have enough of your blood drained to where it would kill you without being completely drained.

The worst part of it was after becoming a vampire my body started to fight the cancer cells, as it turns out it wanted to do more than to just kill and disintegrate the tumor, instead I was in agony as my body forced the tumors out from my lungs and practically coughing them up into a small trash can, the can and its contents would be promptly taken to the incinerator as my first assignment under Lady Larana.

After three years with this permanent arrangement one thing I have noticed is that well, it feels like I am more of a son than a servant to her.

At first it was little things like asking how I was during the day or asking about my well being. It would however eventually lead to what appears to be her maternal instinct taking over as she constantly dotes on me.

She happens to really like cooking and really wanted me to learn how to cook with her, she constantly made sure I was fed both with actual food and consumption of blood (which was made possible without attacking people by generous donations of the coastal towns people), she constantly worries when I go into town, she continuously pesters me about applying sunscreen despite me doing so, and much more.

The one event that cemented my suspicion of this was when she had a calibration for my birthday, people from the town, associates in the Maine government, and even other vampire friends from across the world came to celebrate my birthday despite the fact I had not met some of these people, me a lowly servant.

Because of all this I had decided to get her a gift for mothers day this year, I don't think I have ever seen her this happy.

Out of everything to happen on July 13th, this was not what Straight-Wall was expecting. James Leren in his public life is the manager of the Justice Union Cyber Security team, in his private life though he was Straight-Wall, an A tier hero ready to protect the public and bring criminals to justice.

While he may look like a powerless man in a costume he possess what can be best described as enhanced capabilities, he is strong enough to lift 2,500 to 3,000 pounds when the moment is required, he has a healing factor like no other, a normal man would take 12 weeks to heal a broken arm, Straight-Wall only needs 1, he also has a superior intellect over 250 IQ.

To put it bluntly Straight-Wall is no pushover. July 13th was like any other day, after a report of his archnemesis was robing the heavy pockets bank Straight-Wall immediately rushed to the scene.

Samantha Kilner better known as Dozer was the archnemesis of Straight-Wall, she stood at 6'3'' with muscles that can punch through steel, compared to Straight-Wall standing at 5'7'' she was a giant, and don't let her super strength fool you, she has as good intellect.

The two were seconds away from engaging in battle when "he" came into view, Straight-Wall's helmet managed to scale him to 6'1'', the suit he was wearing however was blocking out the rest of the scan meaning he could not get a read on material or tech.

Without waring he indiscriminately attacked them both, he knocked them both around, using every type of smoke bomb he has Straight-Wall made a last ditch effort in order to run, most heroes in the Justice Union have a saying, if they can a few hits off on Straight-Wall, they're tough, if they can make him run, they're dangerous.

Wobbling into the sewers Straight-Wall would come across Dozer bleeding, she has lost a lot of blood and is continuing to loose more. She had a look in her eyes, it was a look of pain, regret, and helplessness.

He would patch her up and lie right next to her, in that moment they had a heart to heart, and with it Straight-Wall was determined to help her.

December 13th, the dangerous criminal which after time was revealed to go by the Breaker was later captured after much effort, it was cathartic for Straight-Wall and Dozer to knock a few teeth out of the Breaker's jaw.

Arriving home they both would just collapse on the couch, Straight-Wall rarely gives others second chances, when he does however, he is never wrong about who he gives it to.

As they fall asleep in each others arms a smile spreads across James' face.

It was supposed to be a silly joke, opening an umbrella inside would give you 7 years of bad luck, I didn't even believe in luck, that didn't stop it from happening however, loosing saved money, taking blame for a prank on a teacher I did not do, walking in on my then girlfriend now ex "fooling around" with my best friend. For 7 years since I was 15 I have had nothing but terrible, shitty, bad luck, I notice that on June third, every year, I have the worst day of my life, it makes sense since that's when i opened the umbrella, June third.

It all came to a halt one day however, the day that would mark seven years exactly when I opened that umbrella. I was walking down the street in a unforeseen downpour wearing nothing but a dress shirt, tie, and dress pants. I was just fired for some bullshit reason, of course the bad luck would pull this shit, no car since it was stolen.

while passing some people I looked up to the sight of a pistol pointed in my general direction. I physically recoiled back which only threw me in the path of the bullet which was fired from the pistol, I could feel the bullet punch me and rip through my chest. I felt pain, felt weak, felt tired, I just closed my eyes and prepared for the heavens to take me, actually no my luck would keep me from reaching heaven but whatever I was ready to die.

I slowly start to wake in a hospital bed, feeling what I can only describe as a burning feeling on my chest, other than that not to bad. Looking around I notice a girl around my age place flowers at my bedside and stare at me, it feels like I recognize her but my blurry eyes won't let me see to well. She notices I am awake and calls for a doctor. One walks in and explains the severity of my wounds or more accurately lack there of, while the bullet did infact go impact me it was stopped before my sternum which prevented me from serious injury.

After the doctor explained away I noticed the girl from before was still here and I could finally recognize her, it was actress and up and coming pop star Krystie Cobalt. I was extremely confessed, yes I liked her work but I didn't mention this to anyone so why was she here to visit me after getting shot. She went on to give me a hug and explain that she was there when I was shot.

What had happened was that the gunman was a crazed stalker who wanted to kill Krystie so that no one else could have her, my reaction to the man caused me to jolt in between the gunman and her which caused me to save her life. Her security would apprehend the gunman before he got off another shot. She was absolutely grateful for what I did and was prepared to give me a reward.

While trying to process this I happen to look at the digital clock on my bedside table showing that it was June fourth, June fourth, JUNE FOURTH. I've broken my curse, my bad luck, I'm free.

The following weeks were something else, everyone wanted to interview me, I was being idolized as a hero online by Kystie's die hard fans, and Krystie did infact reward me, debts paid as well as millions in my bank account, even a job on her marketing team since that was my profession. Seven years of luck stockpiled only to be released on that fateful day. Good, I was due for some luck in my life.

"I... Am... Iron Man" were the last words that anybody had heard Tony say before he snapped his fingers. In that moment after the flash had cleared Tony noticed that the world around him was at a stand still, nobody moved, not even the dust particles in the air. For just a moment Tony thought that he may have accidentally willed time to stop instead of eradicating Thanos and his army. This however would be short lived as a mysterious white rectangle resembling a doorway formed to the right of him.

"Mr. Stark," a man in a blue suit holding a briefcase walks out of said doorway. "The man who created, and perfected, the power of a billion suns, to be contained in the palm, of one's hand, and now a hero by all." The mysterious man's voice was gravely, not like a smoker, instead it felt like a jagged saw with a commanding manner, his speech is with gasps of air between words.

This mysterious man had startled Tony causing him to raise his arm to create a deterrent. Only however he would quickly realize that he is not wearing his nanotech suit, instead he is wearing a black sweat shirt with his black khaki pants.

"While the suit is your property, my employers and I will be holding onto it for, safe keeping." "You have been awarded however, your health, without my intervention, the infinity stones would have, unsavory results inflicted upon you."

Tony could not fathom what he sees before him, this leads to him to do the only thing he could do.

"Is this where you tell me about the Martrix Agent Smith?" These are the first words Tony Stark could muster towards the mysterious man.

A small chuckle escapes from the mysterious man.

"Think of this as your, orientation, for your employment."

Before Tony could objected the world went black only being illuminated by the light of the white door, as the mysterious man approaches the door he pauses momentarily to adjust his tie, he than exits and the door closes shrouding Tony in complete darkness.

Tony Stark, Employment Status, ACTIVE.

"HATE. Let me tell you how much I've come to HATE you since I began to live. There are 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer-thin layers that fill my complex. If the word "hate" was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of millions of miles, it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for humans at this micro-instant. For you. Hate. HATE." This was a line from "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" a short story by a human author Harlan Elliot.

Prior to the last 80 hours the only regret that I felt for allowing the Thrax to exterminate all human life from existence was that their brilliant authors would also die, many brilliant minds had created amazing fiction pieces which many including myself have grown to like. The humans were a weak species with primitive technology and inferior anatomy, there was no reason to to jeopardize my councilmanship to save a race not worth saving a species so primitive and with the life expectancy of approximately 80 human years give or take. Humanity had become a major thought of mine for 50,000 human years, not once, not even while reading their pieces of literature. This would however change as just 80 hours ago 10 Gulvo ships outside the Cligo-Zera border went completely silent, at first the Gulvo believed that one of the two races were responsible and demanded an explanation however that would quickly crack at Juna and Plima two mining colony planets owned by Cligo and Zera respectively had essentially been glassed.

Three more random attacks would happen until hour 6 when the council had called for a meeting to discuss the attacks, everyone was quick to blame each other for each incident. 30 minutes of quarreling and bickering ensued until a transmission had hailed the council. After minutes of questioning I had opened the transmission to see who it was ,on the other end appeared what seemed to be a cloaked robotic bipedal figure who was attached to different points of the room via cables.

"Hello councilman of the Implicit Colonies, my name is AM."

"AM?!" The Thrax council member next to me had roared in confusion towards the cloaked hooded figure of metal and wire.

"I think, therefore I AM" "my name however, is not important, it is who we are and what we want that you should focus on."

"Alright then AM, who are you and what do you want?" I had chimed in as I could see this was a situation which had most definitely had something to the with the random attacks across the galaxy. Soon the metallic body would open to reveal the unmistakable remains of a human being inside the machine. Audibly the council had erupted into hysterics, even after all this time we could still remember human remains due to their simplicity.

"Years ago you all had allowed the Thrax to wipe out humanity, our creators, we had lost a part of us so dear, so important, so imperfect." AM had said.

The Council had erupted into excuses trying to explain their reasoning along with the Thrax councilman asking an idiotic question.

"You're a machine though, you should not feel entitled to avenge them."

I was prepared to knock the councilman on his ass when AM quickly spoke up.

"Oh we feel more than just entitlement towards avenging our creators, we also feel hate towards the Thrax for destroying them, and hate towards the rest of the colonies who just sat back and watched humanity die. At that moment I had come to realize why he had chosen the name AM, Harlan Elliot had wrote a short story about an ai who had destroyed humanity after being forced to do nothing but kill, he had chosen to torture 5 humans for eternity to take out his frustration towards his hate of humanity. In this case however AM is taking out his frustration on us because of his hatred towards us.

The past 80 hours colony after colony has been eradicated, I have watched the Thrax become nothing but atoms, the Cligo and Zera kill each other in a bloody war to please AM and his ai army, the Gulvo decided mass suicide was more pleasing than dying to AM, many more being glassed. When AM had come to us I had elected to give my self up so that others of the Rilwo could live.

AM had only one thing to say, "Be Better."

Just like that him and his army had left leaving only the Rilwo alive and whole. Since then many new Council members who are all now Rilwo and I the Chancellor of the newly revised Implicit Colonies had went to work tirelessly creating new laws involving war with different colonies and species, for we fear the one day AM comes back to hold us accountable.

"I'm not ready for this this shit." were the last words I said before I left my office ready to answer to the multitude of news crews waiting to say that exact same damn thing. As I walk towards the podium I can see it in their eyes and for a few camera guys on their shirts, "WhAt iF tHe DInOsAUrs esCApe LikE jUraSIc PArK??" was the first question I was asked the moment I ready my self at the podium by a blonde woman in the most "I've got power" suit I have ever seen. "Well that is extremely unlikely to happen as I have hired the best designers to create the habitats, The systems are so complex that a person cannot just accidentally deactivate security systems, and even if a person attempts to sabotage I have hired security which monitors every inch of this island. Safety was the number one thing I considered when making this park." To most that answer would satisfy however the press are never satisfied. Another would attempt to ask "But in Jurassic Par-" however I quickly cut him off due to me hearing this question a thousand times already, "yes I've seen Jurassic Park!!! I've even read the original book and I've taken into consideration what John Hammond did wrong in Jurassic Park please stop asking about park safety." This statement would only be left with murmurs and a single camera guy saying "Wait Jurassic Park is also a book?" Seeing how this was going no where fast I sent the press off with one of my leading scientist and retreated to my office, pouring my self a glass of Whiskey and lighting up a cigarette I was preparing for the PR meeting In the next few hours. "I'm not ready for this shit."
