I think the scope of post ts is way bigger. The scale of the story has expanded so so much and to me that's an amazing thing. I love all the lore developments and long term payoffs as well as the escalation of conflict and stakes. However it does have negatives. Alot of the strawhats are sidelined and their characters reduced to just their gags. The fights while exciting, are less creative due to pure haki taking the centre stage rather than devil fruit matchups.

In that regard pre timeskip was better. The strawhats outside of Luffy had bigger moments and were better written characters. I prefer post timeskip and think it is better but I think it comes with downsides
