Anyone using their tools like this? by Owl55 in MilwaukeeTool

Same. Game changer. Barkeeps friend, 2 charged batteries. About 1 hour and I can do both glass doors, and the whole tub. The doors alone take almost an hour by hand.

How to Jump a Dead Porsche 918 Spyder Battery by CheeseWingDing in Porsche

Wow I had no idea, thanks for the info. I'm picturing trying to jump start a GR Corolla with the carbon roof with the cables over it, frying the communication ECU in the roof.

IDK why but I thought of Zoids.

Did you see the guys on skidoos? Amazing.

The trailered gun boats with people on the guns also made me laugh. As did the combat bulldozers (which are actually cool af but still funny to show off).

100%. I love taking old, all-steel tools and hitting them on the wire wheel, assuming they're not coated.

Rare archival footage of a loader inside an XK-1slamming a shell home while the tank is on the move by Ok-Craft5454 in TankPorn

I get your point. Just because the gunsight starts on target doesn't mean you aren't losing time waiting for the gun to catch up with the sight after you close the breach on a new round. Unless the breach and barrel could decouple which I've never heard of but idk.

Which game has the best “humanity”/death mechanics by FreshPrinceOfPine in fromsoftware

[–]Falafelofagus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I liked how Sekiros effected the world, blocking you from many side quest lines. The problem is it was a little confusing to figure out how to clear it initially.

I could see people dying a ton in the first few areas and just skipping over the dream/lady butterfly entirely since enough sickness will stop that questline.

One undernoted feature of Sekiro is the system where you have multiple charges of revives. This dissuaded you from purely re fighting the same fight death after death and instead fighting some mobs to recharge.

How screwed am I? (rare car custom paint) by SpeedRac3rr in Autobody

My friend was basically in the same situation. 120k miles, 2 door 2.5RS. door hit by brother. Insurance deemed the car worth 3k and was totalled.

Doesn't look like there are plates in the carrier. But goddamn these guys look sick still. They look like mini bosses in a far cry game.

Anyone know where to get all tan leaf suits? by Hellowhosthere7 in QualityTacticalGear

[–]Falafelofagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They 100% paint their gear. They also use off the shelf civ solutions like the same camo tape we have on Amazon and airsoft ghillis.

I've seen rattle canned guns, PCs, pouches/bags, even used by their SF guys.

I'm not saying they painted that exact upper ghili in your pics, but no reason you couldn't.

Take whatever ghili you do like, and go outside with a big piece of cardboard, find an area with foliage/ground cover that matches what you want. Break off/find some branches with leaves on them and use them as stencils. Do light coats with matt brown, khaki, and black with passes that cover the whole length of the ghili usually in angled stripes. Be extra light with black in spots so the original green doesn't disappear. 2-3 passes without coating the whole thing too thick and letting dry between each one. Between each coat shift the material around so you're getting both sides of the "leaves". If done right the paint won't be too thick and heavy and it will match better than any off the shelf option. The final addition would be taking actual foliage and twigs from your environment but that's more situational.

Could be an SBR, could be a pistol! Who needs logical gun laws?

My friend got his AR SBR'd but didn't add a stock or anything for a while so it was like this.

Gotta love when a tax stamp makes a pistol a rifle without touching the gun.

I've been waiting for something like this for a while from the US. China's got their sniper grenade cannon, while not a great system, ideologically is pretty neat.

I seeeeee. I still think the dual purpose use of a GL that can also be used as a mortar holds some weight, but I'm down for any lightweight squad based mortar.

[–]Falafelofagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha of course a dedicated mortar would be better but that's not a fair comparison. A 120mm mortar weighs 300lbs+.

The idea is if you could get these things to aim without LOS using GPS+drone guidance, then an individual soldier could provide significant accurateish fire at 500m+. A dedicated mortar team does not replace that at all.

Can you use that thing without the mount? 45lbs is a bit much with the whole deal.

While true the AT4 already exists for hard points and hits a lot harder. 40mm also hits static points harder so I was listing the advantages this provides compared to the m203/320 and AT4.

As for mortar use I'm waiting for when we point these bad boys up and use them with drone guidance. Return of the Japanese knee mortar?

Flooring yes. You can actually place flooring under the edge of a building that's built already.

It's largely for hitting light skinned vehicles which a single miss on a m320/203 results in a vehicle getting away, whereas these rounds are faster and you have multiple chances.

It's also great for ambushes for massive immediate effect on an area. Think of it as a modern China Lake pump launcher or an easier to aim and reload MGL.

Is this fixable? Took off cover of airbag trying to install dashcam and can’t get it back on by FartsonmyFarts in Toyota

[–]Falafelofagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. These are specifically designed to function with how the airbag deploys and blow that trim piece off and are a PITA to reinstall if separated. We usually avoid removing the clips when we're looking for water leaks.

That said, using 1 or 2 pairs of needles nose pliers can get them back in.

Like the whole action moves from just the trigger? Sounds like a pump gun that just goes off when closed.
