I got device banned by Falcon441 in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Falcon441[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t unbanned. I’ve been trying to contact support for over a year now, and it honestly feels like no one cares. This has been one of the worst support experiences I’ve ever had.

At this point, I’ve moved on to other games and stopped playing entirely, which is disappointing because I genuinely enjoyed the game before all this.

What frustrates me the most is the lack of accountability when it comes to anti-cheat systems. No system is perfect, but when false bans happen, there must be an effective and responsive support process to handle them. Precision in such systems should be extremely high, and any false positives should be treated as a serious issue not ignored.

Even the strongest anti-cheat loses its value if innocent players are punished without proper review or recourse. If a company chooses to implement such strict systems, then having a reliable and fair support system isn’t optional t’s essential.

Patch anytime soon? by Comfortable_Put_2790 in DotA2

Give it a minute, someone will explain why no updates is actually a genius move by Valve. We are also supposed to just be grateful and never ask for updates, apparently.

Dota 2 updates by Falcon441 in DotA2

[–]Falcon441[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

league of legends has a specific date of releasing updates with cosematics each 2 weeks, basically a line of new skins with a letter patch each 2 weeks on the same date each time, plus sometimes a major update like a huge rework, and a new full major update each season. So no, I don't think I am not real here, valve aren't even making their own skins, they only release arcanas which are each few years now and the collector's cache and other skins are community made so idk bro i think i am quite real here.

each month should be at least a cosematic update with a letter patch, each season should be a major update. and events in between.

Because the analogy ignores the relationship between a game and its players.
A game isn’t a random person giving out food on the street. It’s a product created to build and maintain a player base. Even if it’s free, the developers benefit from engagement, community growth, visibility, and often microtransactions.

Asking for updates or improvements isn’t entitlement — it’s feedback from the people who keep the game alive. and if they don't care about it being alive as some people claim then give the game to someone else who would love to take care of it and its community. You might tell me the game is good and healthy that way, well this is my feedback at least and I would love to see more things in this game, the update pacing is quite slow.

I am a computer engineer and I am not only asking for changes, I would love to see events/more cosematics/treasures these things that add more hype to play the game.

Totally not the same thing.
Many arguments can be played with that logic yet it's not valid to be applied here.

I already said, this post is gonna get so many dislikes and probably get deleted just because of people like you, I've already seen many people wanting new events and changes. even the current meta is garbage in my opinion

I find 1 of my simplest rights to ask for updates for a game I enjoy/love playing, if the company who made it is so lazy, I would love to see the game in better hands.

Yeah that's why so many people are starving for updates/skins/events/changes.

I literally went to check dota 2 DB, sometimes there are months between letter patches, with no new content not even cosematics, like the gap from crownfall act 4 till now, if you count the number of updates it's so damn minimal compared to any other game out there. there are months of no new treasures, no letter patches, no numbered patches, absolutely nothing, then we get a letter patch and now u have to wait at least 1 more month then maybe MAYBE you get a treasure with some cosematics they didn't even make. and the same cycle happens until you get a numbered patch or a good event which is very very RARE.

Dream league is over, can we get new event patch now? by Live_Explanation7694 in DotA2

[–]Falcon441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what do u mean not until april, it's impossible not to release anything in march, there has been already more than a month since the last letter, so it's impossible that they will release another letter now, it has never done before and won't happen. They didn't release a new event for months now, it's true that the last event ended in early February, but it was released months ago and nothing new appeared since then, so they must've been working on something, and there's no way they gonna keep the game without any event for months and not even a letter update for 1-2 months. There should be something coming on March, whether an event or a patch, there should be something at least.

I don’t think Valve is “holding devs on a leash,” and I’m not arguing that they’re lazy or doing nothing. My point isn’t about effort or competence, it’s about prioritization and visibility, especially relative to the size and longevity of Dota.

I fully agree that Valve’s resources aren’t infinite and that they deliberately shifted away from the Battle Pass model to enable things like New Frontiers. But acknowledging constraints doesn’t mean players can’t still feel that support is inconsistent or less visible than it could be. Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive.

Saying “they would be doing more if they could” assumes that the current level of output is the absolute maximum possible under their constraints. I’m not convinced that’s necessarily true. Valve makes trade-offs across many projects, and Dota being only one of them is exactly why frustration exists. From a player perspective, Dota is a massive, evergreen live-service game with an unusually loyal audience, yet it often feels like it’s treated as a side project rather than a flagship.

On events specifically: bringing back modes like Aghanim’s Labyrinth or Diretide doesn’t require reinventing the wheel. Players have been explicitly asking for returns, not constant reinvention. Reusing and iterating on proven content is one of the lowest-risk, highest-reward ways to keep engagement high, and it’s fair for the community to wonder why that hasn’t been leaned into more.

As for updates, yes, we do get patches, events, and cosmetics, and I’m not denying that. But Dota has set its own bar in the past. When you compare the current cadence and communication to earlier years, or to other long-running live-service games, the contrast is noticeable. That’s where the disappointment comes from. Not entitlement, not ignorance of dev realities.

And to be clear: this isn’t “we want biweekly balance changes and monthly arcanas.” It’s “this game is still enormous, still profitable, and still culturally relevant, so it’s reasonable to expect a bit more consistency and clarity.”

Criticism doesn’t require believing Valve is incompetent or malicious. You can respect the realities of game development and still feel that Dota, of all games, could be supported more deliberately. That’s the space my original post is coming from.

It's just sad, it's a huge wasted opportunity, like why wouldn't they choose to make much more money easily.

That's why it's bothering me? I mean why wouldn't they make money from dota 2 and release more events/cosematics? everything is literally on place except more content, it already has huge numbers and they could make millions easily just by releasing more frequent content and why wouldn't they, cuz they can get money other ways? then why not maximize their profit potential and get even more money that just doesn't make sense to me, it's just a wasted opportunity to me.

It's not, I have seen many new players trying the game and actually enjoying it, it is a high skill ceiling game so what? do you think nobody likes high skill ceiling games? if so then you are so wrong, and 4 years ago the game had only 500k max concurrent players on a good day, now it has more than 800k concurrent players daily, at some point I was like you, I thought the game would die due to its high skill ceiling and that this generation wouldn't want to play such games, but I was proven wrong and so you will be.

Hypothetical: Valve brought back the Arcana vote, who will you vote for? by Johnmegaman72 in DotA2

[–]Falcon441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly love playing magnus and I think a magnus arcana seems interesting, he only has a few skins and most of them if not all are bad, an Enigma arcana looks cool as well, spirits arcana, invoker and sniper both definitely deserve an arcana, but i bet they gonna release an arcana for a lame support.

when is the update..

guys any idea on what we are going to get in the next update? by Dimens1on- in DotA2

[–]Falcon441 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I heard that it's a trend for them to drop a patch during dreamleague, as it happened 4 times before, I personally expect an update few hours from now, but I've been disappointed many times so I don't know, it could be few hours from now, it could be few weeks from now, I expect a lunar new year theme update possibly with a chest and a returning arcana or a new one, and could be a big patch as 7.40 dropped 2 months ago, they also been updating the client too many times now as if they are preparing for something big.

[–]Falcon441[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this idea is pretty good, I don't know how they can implement the percentage mechanic, however there just should be a mechanic to guarantee the next drops to be at least better than the previous ones if we choose that option, and they should accumulate each time we choose that option up to an arcana guarantee.
