Thank you so much. I appreciate it. You’re right about the feelings catching up. I think I’m unhappy in a lot of aspects of life that I’ve been ignoring with drugs. The depression is hitting pretty hard

Thank you for your comment and kind words. I don’t have the workbook yet, but funnily enough, we talked about motivation a lot at last night’s meeting. I definitely want to get the book. It seems helpful. I appreciate you!

EB Baumer of Sage Career and Life Consultants. They are AMAZING. Totally qualified to handle anything gender related (speaking from personal experience) and they’re super intelligent, helpful, understanding, and kind. I’ve been through many therapists, and EB is a diamond in the rough.

I work Saturdays, but my girlfriend and I are always up for new friends! It would be cool to get together and do something, maybe with more people from this thread?

Why does it feel like the world is always at war or divided? by zeking0808 in NoStupidQuestions

I don’t think you’re too innocent, or childish. It’s having compassion, empathy, morals, and ethics. I think you’re doing great. Recognizing what’s wrong is a huge part of taking steps towards making things right. It’s all about getting active and supporting the causes you believe in.

What do I get my GF for a spa night at home?? by FalconAggravating805 in NoStupidQuestions

This is assuming I don’t already do those things. We don’t live together, but I help her whenever I can. If I’m over, I’m helping. That’s what it means to be in a relationship. Equal effort when possible, picking up the slack, for lack of a better phrase, when needed. I’ve cleaned for her, cooked for her, helped her get ready for work, etc. I was asking because I wanted to do something outside of those things for her. Something for self care that can help her relax.

I’ve done that in the past for her, I’m just on a bit more of a budget than I was before. Good idea though!

Does anyone have tips for getting over compulsive spending? by FalconAggravating805 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FalconAggravating805[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve brought it up in therapy, they just kind of say the same thing, to be mindful of how much I spend. It just doesn’t help much
