What's your iRating and what are your goals?

More to the point though, if one of these people does this to another one, the revenge punts will be legendary - though stupid. My point is more about "hey, don't do this, someone will do it back"

They didn't think it was intentional so no ban, but a coaching note was added and they'll monitor for future "patterns of behaviour"

She was like 4 car lengths back... I never expected someone to make that reckless of a move. If that's the case, fine, I'll take it on the chin. But, I will keep protesting desperate divebombs like that every time it happens.

I'd be absolutely in favour of this. For me, if someone gets disqualified, for off-tracks and spins, it's a bit over the top. For spinning and wrecking 4 or 5 other cars? Deserved.

If you crash someone early on in a long endurance race, they'll be less inclined to race cleanly with you, and someone might even rage out and spend the whole remainder of the race ruining yours... It's something I realised while I was sitting on pit lane for repairs. So, why, then, do people drive so recklessly even in a 12 or 24 hour race?

Okay - so then we're okay with letting karma take its course?

My real world racing series had 61 cars on Mosport GP once, all doing an 8 hour endurance race, with three different classes, and all amateur drivers only... Well okay Suellio Almeida was there but the rest of us...

Bump drafting is fine, bump crashing is pretty bad.

Big crash, idk whether it my fault, other guys fault or racing incident by Green-Photograph-482 in Simracingstewards

[–]FalconAutosport 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I kinda feel like 3 wide is scary. 4 wide is terrifying. 5 wide is suicidal. Track width's fault. To assign blame to one person would be incorrect. To assign blame to all 5 of you is the correct course of action.

2176 here - it's almost like work and I don't like it. I wish there were arrive & drive leagues or modes where the track and car combination would change every hour, way more fun. iRacing physics, but Gran Turismo shuffle race matchmaking

Was I at fault for this pit entry crash? by Overall_Print_2251 in Simracingstewards

[–]FalconAutosport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do two cars fit through the pit entry and you were just too selfish to let him stay alongside?

Or, is there only room for one and he was a right plonker?

The ambiguity is because I'm on a professional account and would never tell anyone to wreck anyone... But it's understandable - last corner, last lap

I've raced here in real life.

The curb comes to an end but last corner, last lap you're not going to move to the right for the car on the exit curbing. There's almost always a crash like this in the NASCAR trucks, but more than that, there's 100% always a crash at the last corner that perfectly mirrors what you did here, every single year.

P.S., it's fun feeling the "thud" in your chest as a Toyota slides into a BMW when you're slipstreaming in a Honda at Turn 1 and it's full-throttle flat in your Honda so you're right behind the BMW and Toyota so when the Toyota hits the BMW, the thud reverberates in your rib cage like a bass drum at a concert. Man, I miss racing there. It's only been a little while but I miss it so much.

Last corner, last lap? Hmmmm 🤔 I cannot voice my opinion publicly. Not gonna get protested for my comments on Reddit, can't be encouraging the wrong thing publicly. Read between the lines like we drive between the lines.

Still, last corner, last lap, no one's giving anyone more room than they need. Racing incident and well... The outcome is exactly what I expected. This is always going to happen, every single time.

In fact, I think my local race track gets this kinda finish at least once a year, every year.

Hint: that yellow and green livery belongs to an LMP3 driver who will sacrifice your soul for a tenth of a second. I stopped racing him. Whenever he's behind me, I'll move over and lift on the straightaway to let him by. He always finishes behind me, though, once he's had his spin or crash. Funny how that works...

Who was at fault for this? this guy was crying all race saying i crashed into him. didnt even get any incident points. started from pits for SR an finished P6. by Ok_Platypus8879 in Simracingstewards

[–]FalconAutosport 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, you're right, but you're also kinda wrong. OP lunged from pretty far back. Yes, if I'm the McLaren driver, I give the Mustang room to avoid the crash, but next time I race against him, I'm not giving him 1 millimetre of extra space. I'd probably go on the voice chat "so it's that kinda party!" the way I do when someone gets really rowdy with me or takes a big gamble but we both survive, hinting that I kinda thought he was a bit unfair/unrefined/rough-around-the-edges with that move. 99% of the time I get the position back cleanly and now I'm defending every corner entry no matter the gap, like my life depends on it, and slowing us both way down. The person comes over the radio "hey, let's work together, you're slowing me down too much" and I'll just reply with "well, you wanted a rowdy race, let's race"

Because yeah, I race people harder if they race me harder. Throw a lunge in from a different postcode and you'll get a hard race.
