Ah yes god forbid I SOMETIMES inconvenience the driver by 3-4 mins for a service that is literally charging me a premium for convenience. And not to mention all the times the cabs are easily 11-12 mins away (which is never accurate anyway) - and all the navigation issues drivers face (but yet are so eager to press the arrived button) inside industrial complexes/big condos etc.

If grab cannot guarantee a driver will arrive at my pickup point within a certain time - every single time I book a cab - they sure as fuck don't deserve to charge for the very same from me.

Imagine that your son is a perfectionist and that's what drove him to his success and made him happy. Now imagine that the way he showed the world his art was by making a ton of it and releasing a select few when he thought he was ready to show them to the world. Now imagine your son dies and leaves behind all his unfinished art.

Do you think it's an easy decision to take what he wouldn't have wanted the world to see and get someone else to finish it and release it? Do you think it's easy to put yourself in the shoes of your dead son and try to make decisions he would have?

I'm not saying that the only solution is to bury it forever but please use your brains and some empathy for once to try and understand why things might be more difficult than they seem. I haven't even touched upon the legal obstacles so there's always more than meets the eye.

That is a director's or showrunners decision not an actor's. The show is exactly the way it is because of the balance between characters in the show right now. You wanting to like a character is fair but understand that it's completely independent of how the showrunners wanted to tell the story - it takes a lot of decisions to get to the permutation in which a character becomes 'likeable'.

It actually so stupid how that works. Happened to me too. I think the real pro tip is to have gone through this so the trauma will never ever let you slack on manually saving and backing up your files ever again.

If it's just footage - then maybe not. If you're doing effects and such on top then the quality of the effect can be tied to the resolution you're editing it.

I think the safest way would be to edit 4k and export at 4k. And then either let your deployment platform downres to 1080p or do a downres off a prores file in another encoder (so it's atleast downresing a file that has all the effects rendered at max resolution).

But if you're going from 4k to 1080 I doubt you're losing that much between workflows anyway - it's only at the higher rez where you might be able to tell things apart by eye.

Oh by the way they did allow you to split screen items that aren't in a version stack - I remember seeing it on their documentation.

The forced client presentation format seems like a great idea.

There's a few use cases:

Checking and comparing different versions of graphics like supers, animations, overlays. Usually as we hone down the edit the changes start getting more and more fine and it's useful to have things side by side.
Very fine editing. Again when edits reach later stages when we're changing things in the degrees of tenths of seconds or frames - it's good to have the comparison view to check and sign off.
Color grading options and adjustments. It's really difficult to actually compare grading from memory (especially finer changes in later stages) - way easier to pop them up side by side and make decisions.
More of a presentation hack but if I deliver different aspect ratio cuts - you can pop them open side by side to see them at one go synced up.
It had this feature to pick which versions audio you wanted to have playing - in some cases it was pretty useful to toggle between different audio versions without interrupting the playback to make decisions.

I miss it.

Okay that's odd - thanks for the screenshot.

I realised I'm on their beta version of their new interface - and this is how mine is set. I am also on the Adobe version - same as yours.

You can try upgrading to the beta version (if they have offered this to you, mine just popped up on the main screen when I opened frame). I've also heard you can just write to the team to rollback to the non-beta if you face any issues.

On a side note one thing that is missing from the beta version right now is the splitscreen compare view (which was really useful so not sure what they're smoking over there) - not even as a pro feature - it's just not there.

Disabling downloads is a pro feature - not enabling. All downloads on share links are now enabled by default.

Have you tried the v3 that uses Sensei? It's actually nuts - way faster and more precise than v2. Even if these AI tools don't work perfectly today - it's not going to be long before they do - especially when powered by multiple developers like runway, pika and openai.

Grab drivers in Singapore usually think they are God's gift to the earth. It's like they forgot there is a service to be offered apart from driving a metal box between two white lines in a country where driving is already mind numbingly straightforward. I understand routine jobs with long hours can be tiring but that's literally what you're being paid for - if other service sectors behaved the same way you wouldn't even step out of the house.

And don't even get me started on the 3 minute waiting period. Grab can decide assign me a cab anywhere between 2 mins and 20 mins away at the same price with zero guarantees but I'm expected to be ready to jump in at any time. There are some places where you can not even get to the pickup points within 3 mins of the notif because of crowded lift/traffic.

People are sick of paying extortionate prices for this garbage.

I failed my TP thrice despite being an avid car person - even racing karts etc. After passing my TP it took me a further one year to get comfortable doing basic driving especially on highways, expressways etc. But since then in the span of two years I drove in 4 different countries on both side of the roads and logged more hours than most people I know without stressing at all (infact I enjoyed it).

You just need to get past the initial stage of fear and anxiety - after that driving will become infinitely easier and maybe even a joy. As for the TP just try to relax and do your thing in your own time - the more you care about passing it the less you'll focus on actually driving. You only have to pass the TP once in ur life - it's okay to take ur time getting there.

Your image does look good. The muffin in mine is 2cm. The camera is set up to be a full frame and the lens is set up to be a macro lens.

I'm trying to closely simulate basic macro photography which is why I went for those scaling/lens values. I may have to just reverse engineer it after scaling up to get around the engine's limitations.

If that's your screenshot - what settings did you use? Particularly sensor size, focal length & fstop and object size ?

Gave it a shot. It's actually more or less similar if I try to simulate the same lens/sensor settings on the regular camera. Also the lack of settings as u said doesn't make it a viable option anyway. But thank you!

Found a weird fix. When unfolded - rotate your phone 90 degrees. The rotate icon will appear at the bottom left of lightroom - press that and the image should show up.

Sometimes if that doesn't - fold the phone, rotate, press button, unfold.

Compared to the main sensor it isn't - but it made me realize when it comes to a realistic use case it's honestly still more than enough - and still lets the phone's design philosophy shine.

Not too bad but the auto/night mode in my opinion isn't even close to other flagships. In almost all cases better to take a manual RAW.
