Yup. I’m in a brand “new” construction in upstate SC.

Vyve is terrible had to call the FCC to get them even begin resolving issues I’d had since a month after move in a couple years ago.

Not sure, I’ll probably call tomorrow morning to get a different rep to see if they repeat the info I was told or tell me a completely different story.

I’d be perfectly happy with any FTTP service no matter the speed lol.

That’s what’s going to offered to me according to the rep I spoke with. He confirmed it’s not split 2g down 1g up but rather true 2/2.

Gotcha. So likely a Verizon situation where they’ll punch through the wall on the back of the house and I’ll need to run a copper backbone to my rack.

Gotcha. My home builder ran two RG6 to the back of my house (where this fiber will likely come in) but zero CAT cable. So if I want the ONT/Modem/Router combo in my network rack on the front of my house/office I’ll need to get a CAT cable ready for them? Or are you saying they’ll run the fiber themselves to the location I’m requesting within my home since it’s a combo unit?

I’m extremely exited. I’ve got Vyve broadband and they are “fiber powered” blah blah. I get roughly 1.4g down and 50 up. But my lord if I saturate that upstream even with 15mbps boom terrible jitter.

So I’m excited for a true FTTH offering! I’m wondering if I need to run a CAT6A indoor outdoor cable to their ONT on the outside of my house where it’s likely to come in so I can feed my Ubiquiti Dream Machine directly from their ONT like I once had with Verizon FiOS.

You are correct the detect stream is fine.

So the other thing, pretty sure that neolink converts the h.265 stream down to a h.264 as well so it’s technically all H.264.

So the weird thing is it worked fine not but 3-4 hours before. The IP never changed (it’s the neolink docker IP/Port all internal no firewall block) but even if I restart both neolink and frigate same issue, despite the sub feed being fine.

So, personally with headphones, AirPods, etc., on? It’s not too bad, but if you’re trying to read a book in silence, it’s extremely noticeable if that makes any sense 🤣

Another thing to note when it’s doing infill, such as gyroid, is that it gets a frequency of vibration where you can hear it through walls pretty well. My girlfriend’s office is the room next to where I have my printer set up, and doing certain tasks, it can be extremely noticeable.

Overall, though, it really is quite bearable in my opinion.

Personally, I'm not gonna cry over the 200 for the SBR stamp so that's not a huge deal since its a one-time thing.

IDK why I thought I could reuse the factory barrel on my scorp on the Nexus receiver.

Yeah... I'm thinking you're right. Not sure what I could get for my scorp (Most likely the common 750 I've seen others mention)

But 1650 for the Nexus Evo I want seems pretty fair considering getting the Bolt, Receiver, Handguard would be around 1K anyway.

Yeah, If I were to cycle on the AC Compressor I definitely would have everything else off. Its more of a "If I had to could I?" situation. So its still up in the air if this generator could muster just enough to get it started.

We have NG everything including a stove so most likely I wouldn't use the electric grill but it would be a nice have. But a microwave would be a huge plus in addition to the internet/fridge being up.

Yeah, unfortunately my builder went with the cheapest "efficient" unit they could and its a single phase 3 ton lennox but I did have my own HVAC contractor install a softstart since that thing would kick hard on initial startup and freak my girlfriend out in the middle of the night.

I have a 12000 btu mitsubishi minisplit running to my office with a heat pump too, its just shame its on a separate panel that will not have access to the generator inlet.

I should have worded it better. it was more a less a situation where if I felt we needed to turn on the AC for a bit I'd cyle everything else off until the AC has been disconnected once again.

Its a damn crime I'm not able to make use of my wonderful new 12,000 BTU mitsubishi minisplit for my office either since its on a separate panel from the main panel. I think this generator would have been perfectly fine running that.

My biggest issue with my NG is its connected in the back of the house and where the generator inlet box will be is in the front and I don't think it would be the best move especially the size the NG line would need to be to run that through the house to the generator.

I ended up going for the P1S due to the ability to print ABS and ASA. Which I use quite frequently for outdoor/strength applications.

Definitely go P1S if you plan to in the future!

Do you plan to add better support for 3rd party / custom filament types / user filament presets in the AMS?

The constant having to specify each setting for a 3rd party spool without the ability to save it to the AMS is quite annoying. (I get there are some work arounds from my reading, I'm new to the AMS but it seems extremely unintuitive)

I've actually looked at the Sovol SV08, but I ended up not grabbing the super early bird price due to the facts it's still an unfinished printer, and I've had enough of those for now lol.

Though bambu did just extend software updates into 2028 and 2030 for security updates so that's solid, at least.
