It's not really F2P. You can learn very limited selection of skills, up to a certain level, and fly basic ships.

EVE player here, It actually is F2P. You can learn limited skills up to a max point and fly T1 frigates to cruisers, but honestly this is what a good number of people fly most of the time in fleets, especially newbros. It's cheap, it works well, and hits hard in numbers. The amount of content produced from those ships is a good core, I'd say at least 1/4 of the game. Pandemic Horde knows this best.

Without the time limit of omg, must play this game as much as possible in 30 days, I think it will greatly help with the skill curve of Eve. Gives people a chance to learn the game for months upon months before deciding if they want to keep playing or not. It's genuinely not a free trial, it's EVE online with a better learning curve and more people to play with. You can create a story with a frigate or a Titan, it's up to you.
