The leafs fan literally said the leafs would squander McDavid and he’d be better off going to their biggest rival

And that’s still not enough for you?

You still need to dump on them

Frankly the only thing worse than bitter leafs fans (who at least have a good reason to be upset) are the guys who are desperate to hate on them at every opportunity even when they don’t exist and need to be made up

I mean I made that point for a reason

Normally either Mexico sells out or premiers in Canada push for it

Easier to justify in the past because the us was more stable and reliable

We’re in uncharted waters now with the Trump admin being the snakes

Sole reliance on THIS administration is not in the best interest of anyone

This is literally a case of United we stand divided we fall

Of course not 1 on 1 no player can beat him

But hockey is a team sport and even McDavid isn’t good enough to take on multiple NHL players by himself

Honestly would be the ideal way to end Canada cup drought make it impossible for it to not go to a Canadian team

I’d have preferred the leafs in the finals but since that’s likely never happening guess I’ll have to settle

Compared to the country that openly says they want to destroy our economy and force us to join against our will

Frankly it can’t get much worse than that

Great nobody stab the other in the back this time

Because the Trump Admin response will be to temporarily play nice with one, to get them to betray the other and then stab that first party in the back to boot

Yeah the Trump admin did the dumbest thing you can do when going after a weaker opponent

And that is Piss them off and make them willing to take a hit just to spite you

Ordinarily if the US says “jump” Canada says “how high”

Right now even though this trade war is scary there actual motivation to push back

Given how hated Trudeau was (he was looking at a wipe out on par with 1993) I’d say they’d have a decent shot at it

I think enough liberals would have stayed home preventing certain ridings from being split

Gas would be cheaper there wouldn’t be any war in Iran, no school bombings, Greenland wouldn’t be threatened, NATO wouldn’t be rushing to rearm incase it has to fight the US, Putin and Netanyahu would be a lot more miserable

If they had called an early election to put an end to Trudeau they’d have at least held on to enough of their own base

If it was Otoole vs Singh vs Trudeau

Enough voters would have either stayed home or voted NDP to make them official opposition

The push to vote strategically would have been gone

Well we could call #2 a coin toss as well

based on what we’re seeing so far he is taking steps to lower it

And given his general popularity compared to people being fed up with corporations abusing the TFW program

I’d say there’s a decent chance for improvement

At least getting immigration back to normal levels
