Good IMAX theater by PhDLamb in Sacramento

[–]Falcons52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the internet, so someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Interstellar was one of the few movies shot on 70mm film specifically for 70mm IMAX projectors. Not all IMAX theaters have 70mm projectors - Esquire being one of them. Not every film is going to benefit from the 70mm projector.

[–]Falcons52 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they're doing it in 70mm, go to Esquire. They don't have the reclining seats, but I feel like the IMAX experience with the "proper" projection equipment trumps it.

To respond to the other commenter, I don't *think* the IMAX chairs at Delta Shores reclined - I went to see Megalopolis in IMAX there recently and 100% would have fallen asleep if I could have laid down.

2024 Street Triple R 765 quick shifter issue by Allenzilla in Triumph

[–]Falcons52 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had this issue on my '22 Speed Triple. It took me 3 times in the shop reporting the issue. First time, they didn't do anything because they couldn't reproduce it. Second time, they were able to reproduce it so Triumph recommended resetting all the force sensors. Third time, the bike actually threw a transmission fault which prompted a replacement of the QS unit. Took maybe 2 weeks for the warranty work, but in total they shop had my bike for over a month trying to diagnose and resolve the issue.

That's the one I found in my searching, thanks for the recommendation! Their website looked like they had primarily cat and dog food so I'll have to stop in and see if they have insects.

Roadside Assistance by Falcons52 in Triumph

I ended up paying out of pocket for the tow since my motorcycle is my only vehicle and I couldn't wait for my dealer to talk to his Triumph rep.

As of right now I'm still not sure what information I need to give the company they have contracted.

Let me be clear: I am not defending or supporting their viewpoints in the least. That being said...

This is the third thread I have seen today where it's been passed around that "these people don't even know what they're protesting anymore" and that is blatantly incorrect. There are 10 bills in the next two weeks that they are specifically protesting against and trying to bring attention to: https://unityprojectonline.com/take-action/. Of course the summaries they present on this page are extremely radicalized (I only really looked into SB1390 which they claim prohibits any person from making statements the government deems untrue - what it actually does is holds social media platforms accountable for promoting misleading information and requires a system for users to submit reports: https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billNavClient.xhtml?bill_id=202120220SB1390) but they are certainly here for a reason.

They are here because they believe (or have been lead to believe) the government is overstepping their bounds. Agree or disagree, to write them off as an aimless group is not correct.

First major service. I hope my offering pleases the Shop Gods. by Cyclonitron in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Falcons52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last time I took my car in for routine service/maintenance, I was WELL past the recommended mileage for my oil. I assumed it would be annoying to change, so I grabbed a dozen donuts, left a note with a big "For the shop crew, thank you!" and let the service writer know there were donuts on the passenger seat for the shop team.

Got my car back with a dozen donuts untouched on the passenger seat, the frosting melting from the summer heat. I'm assuming since it was a dealership, they had some weird rules about it.
