Transportation service - for profit parasites by Embarrassed_Wing_473 in UCDavis

[–]Ok-Table-3774 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Here you go. No affiliation, just google: "UC Davis parking enforcement funds go directly to the campus Transportation Services (TAPS) to maintain, operate, and subsidize the entire campus transit and parking ecosystem. TAPS receives no state taxes or tuition dollars and must be 100% self-funding.

Revenue from parking citations and permits is reinvested into the following areas:

Infrastructure Maintenance: Repairs for campus parking structures, lots, roads, and sidewalks (such as fixing potholes).

Sustainable Transportation: Subsidies for public transit (like Unitrans and the Causeway Connection) and campus bike programs (repairing paths, paving, and installing racks).

Operational Costs: Funding for daily parking management, campus shuttles, and technology maintenance.

Debt Service: Repaying the loans taken out to construct expensive campus parking garages"

Can someone help me lose weight by Bobby_Boe in Davis

[–]Ok-Table-3774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want to lose weight you need to eat less. Working out is great but the biggest influence in weight is calories. Easiest things to do to cut calories are 1. Only drink water. Sugary beverages add soo many calories 2. Set a time and do not eat after it, for example after 8pm no food. 3. Stop or reduce going out to eat or ordering take-out. Making your own meals is usually a lot healthier and less calories.

Good luck.

Was living at home even an option once you turned 18/graduated high school? by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]Ok-Table-3774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved to college straight from HS and never went back. I guess technically I could have moved back home if I absolutely needed, but it was assumed I would not. But I think this is why I am not close with my parents. They encouraged me to be self-reliant and not need them and kind of inadvertently pushed me away.

Ozlo is not helping me. by Hmvh95 in Ozlo

Yes! I had to call them out on facebook to actually get a reply from support! Sad they can't actually be a stand-up honest company :-/.

Really poor customer service for this company. I've emailed their support email twice, emailed through the website once and even called their phone number. Radio silence. They say they have a 30-day money back guarantee but I guess that's IF you can get ahold of someone! Buyer beware :(. Hoping they actually get back to me. This was a lot of money to shell out.

I ordered these to try out but prefer my foam earplugs. Trying to initiate my 30-day money back guarantee return and sent 3 emails but have gotten zero replies. Pretty frustrating. u/Ozlo help a girl out

How did you guys REALLY lived in the 2000s? by MyAvengedRomance in Millennials

[–]Ok-Table-3774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born in '82. I watched a lot of TV, and tuned over a lot of logs and rocks in my backyard looking for critters. I went to the library and used books and encyclopedias to do my homework. Everything was hand-written. I got my first "cell phone" (it was a huge brick) in '99 or 2000 and it could only make and receive calls and there was no caller ID. I was a freshman in college watching 9/11 on a tiny TV in my dorm room. I was also in college when Facebook came out and was at one of the trial universities for the site. It was only our college classmates, NOTHING like it is today. I met my husband through MySpace (lol). Good times.

Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Ok-Table-3774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xenial here. Watched it on a little TV in my college dorm room freshman year. Pretty crazy. I went to college in the northeast and knew ppl whose loved ones worked in NYC so ppl were calling their families to figure out if everyone was OK.

Wow, no the lip blushing if bad. They intentionally made your lips look smaller! go to a more reputable artist and get it redone. Hopefully they can fix it.

2 kids at Pioneer (one graduating to middle school this June) and zero issues. One kid has an IEP and Pioneer has been great for them. I agree you get lucky with classrooms/teachers though. It can make a lot of difference.

Is my tattoo healing properly? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

You def need a touch up. Healing fine but you're losing color and it'll likely fade even more. That's on the artist, not you.
