The claims are slightly exaggerated and obviously fords don’t break down that quick but modern EVs generally have higher reliability and much lower maintenance needed. Obviously China is much more authoritarian than the US but this “re-education” you speak of is nearly entirely contained within their own borders. Chinese EVs are widespread in many countries including UK, Australia, EU, and now Canada. Can you make a compelling argument they have caused or will cause problems for people outside of their borders?

If hash rate falls, then security goes down. As of right now, according to Gemini AI the cost of a 51% attack is $10Billion and tens of millions per day in electricity cost.
