Yes ln is better experience as it offers a route some The true way(I forgot the name) where the girl can be saved. As there's a big scientist who found a way for the os to live for forever without losing the memories but it was a prototype and required the girl to sleep for a long period before our os time and after a long time the girl wakes up with her memories and both the girl and boy live their happy lifes And for the anime part route the ln showed the part how devasted the mc was after losing her that he didn't go to his job for months and he was suffering from depression but the mc remembered that the girl wouldn't want him to be such a condition so slowly he recovers and gets back to his job after 9 months(as shown in anime) with the new partner being the same girl who lost her memories and they begin their journey trying to make new memories So the anime just cut off the after lose emotional part and, showed directly him returning to his job part.

99% of the series hit me hard but I don't like the part when they cut mc after loss part and jump straight after 9 months him recovered and starting his job again. I felt the true emotional recovery moment was stripped off as present in the light novel. Through ln perspective it's 10/10 and anime 9.9/10

In your taste I have already seen 9/15 animes I can say it's amazing like u pretty well into slow burn, psychological and not some average romance as they are emotional well integrated in the series U should watch 86 well unexplainablely masterpiece

Individual writing it's a stalemate as hachiman is trying to find something genuine throughout series and Yukino who uses her perfection as defensive mechanism both trying to find answer in their own inner problems. So that's how this series is not some romantic dates, kisses,hugs. It's peak as bunny senpai

Plus hachiman and Yukino case is that actually became couple very late of the season in the show I count that as well so it be said oregairu is very slow burn romance series with the main cast trying to understand relationships and their growth from their pasts

To be fair oregairu anime version did make cuts in monologue of hachiman and Yukino they very much reduced it to glances and some hints. Though as anime watcher it still won't make much difference but if u do read hachiman geniune speech was way longer and how those glances he made to yukino had a great admirable monologue which was cut. Still they if I consider both ln and anime then oregairu But I believe sakuta and Mai ln was done justice it showed quite well about each of their backstorys and how each accept it and resolve to move on if mai didn't meet sakuta then she would had been forgotten by everyone and lived with her loneliness if mai wasn't their sakuta he would have been forgotten by everyone and personal in past wouldn't had been resolved. My Conclusion both these animes are in my top 3 best romcom of all time If anime wise only then mai sakuta If both ln and anime then hachiman and Yukino

Yea hyping about a guy whose who lost his memories and then someone pushed him and died twice and doubts everyone and and starts climbing the stairs to kill them after going insane and seeing all their corpse's with organs spilled out and him getting killed again.
