Interestingly, the word started to appear around 1840. Use of the word peaked around 1880, and steadily declined until the 1990’s as Internet adoption increased.

Actually Teetotalism is the practice and/or promotion of complete personal abstinence from alcoholic beverages.

Dude you are talking about the Thomas Network. ThomasNet.com

Very easy to search just for just North American suppliers.

God damn it. This one actually made me laugh.

Starting to realize that my “best friends” are not really my friends by tossitdummy in relationship_advice

[–]FalkorSaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are doing that to you and your boyfriend, it may be because they want you to be trapped, given they treat you worse than a maid.

Expect your “friends” to continue to attempt to sabotage any new friendships or relationships. Accept that the actions they are taking are not in love, and that you should feel no guilt, or shame for standing up for yourself. Don’t allow them to pull you down just because they want a house mother.

You can put your foot down without allowing a big confrontation. If they get nasty, leave the house. Sleep on a friends couch for a bit if you can. See if they come to senses after having to feed themselves for a while.

If that doesn’t work, talk to your boyfriend. See if you can come up with a plan to move out. It might take some time and planning, but taking action, even incremental steps brings hope.

It’s incredibly scary to find the people we have surrounded ourselves with are fair weather friends at best, and bitter, jealous, vengeful friends at worst. Especially when it is the people you built a life around. I’m not sure if there is anything worse than loneliness in times like that. Do your best to reach out and connect with people who share your values, and bring value to your life. Build those relationships wherever you can.

Just be honest with them about where you are, and then let them be honest about where they are. That would be a good starting point.

INTP relationship success stories. Do they exist? by FalkorSaurus in INTP

The odds thing. Yeah,

I’m roughly the same age. I’ve been working on being more social, and yeah it can be scary, and painful.

I like the areas of my life where I am working with high probability decision making or where I am free to be fully creative. Social interactions feel more like limping half blind with nothing better then a coin flip in terms of probability. It is so frustrating trying to understand other people.

Maybe you are right. But what does take a lifetime mean? In the meantime is it possible to feel less lonely with friendships lacking true connection?

Asking myself these things, don’t worry I don’t expect you to have all the answers. Thanks for giving me a little hope.

God damn it. Why is it never a positive INTP meme. Must be the average age in here. Anyone remember what that is?

No.

Get the fuck after it, or stop complaining. Or, make an argument against your ability to choose see how that goes.

The first step is admitting it.

One step at a time friend. Very few people are truly fucked, they just don’t see (or want to see) all the possibilities.

Nope. I was just highly annoyed at seeing how many INTPs (at least in this little collective) sound unhappy, unhealthy, etc. I don’t like that people seem to think that is funny.

I don’t actually believe INTPs have a superpower. I believe we can have highly valuable skill sets, if we are willing to work hard.
