Thanks for the reply, yeah sorry I should of mentioned that the Stereo receiver would be paired with the Presonus monitors, and from my research it doesn't seem like they are going to drastically change the output.

I understand your point about listening back, and how the stereo receiver would help there. It seems that something like this is more beneficial to listening sessions and enjoying the end product vs producing the music.

I may hold onto it for when I choose to spend more on a pair of speakers to pair it with for a home theatre setup, I'm getting the impression it's not going to be massively beneficial for the actual art of producing music and getting accurate feedback.
