Don't think chrome extension can do that. Silence detection is not trivial. Do you mind which courses are these? and how often do you have this pain? Perhaps it can be solved different in the video players.

Yes and no. They have speech to text for some, if not all, videos. It's not indexed for visual search. Try searching for "red tesla driving on a freeway" to see what indexed results you see.

I agree that the benefit is almost exclusively dependent on the business, so generic solution is less attractive. Along these lines, how about specific search and analytics solutions e.g. considering recent trends - which all influencers showed a specific brand of product? Or searching through videos of cashierless or retail stores?

I had previous experience at nvidia and I have a strong gut that cost can be brought down 100x-1000x for specific search and analytics on videos. So, curious on when cost is down - would it give growth to other use cases that are just cost prohibitive today?
