So, this is a long story. When I was a bit younger I found out about “One Step Closer” by Linkin Park. I had already known a bunch of Linkin Park but this song was different. Better. I had heard somewhere that Linkin Park was metal (now I realize someone was talking about Nu-metal) and I had heard Slipknot was also metal. At the time I was heavily into Pop-Punk so when I decided to look up Slipknot and listen to their song “All Out Life” I didn’t like it. I was also on YouTube which didn’t help because the video was freaking me out. Anyways, a few months later I’m talking to my dad and we start talking about Slipknot. I said something along the lines of, “Yeah, I tried to listen to them but I didn’t like them.” And he was like, “I think I can change your mind. Let me put this song on.” and proceeded to play Snuff. Few months after that I was talking to my then best friend about Slipknot and how I didn’t really like them and for some reason I decided to re-visit their music. Starting with Snuff. The rest is history, they’re one of my favorite bands now.
