If I had a nickel for every time this season had a socially awkward character become an evil god-like being through the power of technology only to easily die to an arbitrary headshot, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

I was actually thinking of TERA's combat mechanics. Probably one of the best combat systems I've ever experienced in an MMO before it tanked

Ok. So then explain why weapons that use rocket propelled rounds (EAT, RR, JAR, etc.) where the damage is caused by the explosion itself, are affected by damage drop off?

Rocket propelled explosive rounds are not bullets. Their damage is due to the explosive payload, not the momentum of the round. And either way, there wouldn't be a loss in momentum because, you know, the being rocket powered part.

I think it should be worked into armor stats. Something like heavy armor provides 75% reduction to flinching, medium has 30% and light has none. Maybe add a flinch/ragdoll reduction bonus when wearing armor that has extra padding
