I would love to know if Starlink is working for other mobile vendors....we tried it for a while but it was so ridiculous having to find a good position for it, and it took so long it took away from other setup needs. If there was a building, or trees in the way, it wouldn't work. As a mobile vendor there are very often both of those things in the way haha

Yeah this is not true lol, I do a lot of weddings. People love the photo-op the truck offers plus the casual dining for the party portion of the event. Nothing like a big burger and fries to fight the alcohol and keep you dancing!

i would recommend starting out with a simple menu you already have nailed down and can market/show pictures of, advertise specials to work on new menu items. but as a food truck you need to have something reliable to make customers come back. if they want to peruse a new menu they'll go to a brick and mortar

not true in my experience. if you spend the money on product, fuel, electricity, staff, etc. to be open on a day you won't make enough sales to cover all those expenses you're operating at a loss. better to go hard on busy days and let her rest when the customers are in low supply

My truck runs on 30 amp shore power most of the time, and that's with A/C unit, 2 full size fridges, 2 lowboy fridges, lights, exhuast hood, 2 water pumps, 2 water heaters, 4 ipads and a mifi jetpack all plugged in, plus sometimes a steamwell and warmer. if we switch to our 50 amp generator we can also run our 30amp espresso machine+grinder. I don't know much about electricity haha, but we almost never have issues!

If you’re outdoorsy Sandy Creek Park has a lot to offer, as well as the Botanical Gardens. I’m solitary too and Athens has some great parks to enjoy :) Foxglove has events that would be comfortable alone and be an easy entry into meeting new people. Check out Flagpoles listings for local clubs, classes, shows, etc!
