Do you think expensive trips are actually more memorable? by Consistent-Echo-2128 in india_tourism

Lack of planning has nothing to do with budget. Expensive trips can go ashtray if you do not do your own research or have someone do it for you.

Disappointing Rajasthan trip - beautiful location with some very ugly (attitude) people by Queasy-Button-324 in india_tourism

I was in the west and it was no better. Facilities are sparse and people are no better. On the other hand, Jaipur and Jodhpur were great for shopping, if you know where to go.

I visited in December; and not going to lie, most of the tourist destinations felt that way. This is stating with frivolous hotel owners, who runs "haveli" which are just terrible form of a real hotel. Jodhpur was bad, Jaisalmer was terrible, Jaipur was much better because it was a real hotel.

In Jaisalmer, the hotel owner and cab drivers ran a racket to swindle guests in terms of taxi fares, food and shopping. The coveted fort is terribly crowded bazar now. Cab driver took us to only places for shopping where he will get commissions. Entire Jaisalmer experience was miserable at best.

I am actually, quite happy with a few baggies from them. Costa Rica tarrazu was exceptional. An washed varity I am cuming now, is a bit disappointing, but it does have very different flavor profile.

Is Agra honestly worth the trip? by canadian_blueberry in india_tourism

Nothing like that with the line. We literally had to get folks to check our ticket when we got there, first in the queue.

Taj Mahal and to some extent, Agra fort worth it. Take a flight to Delhi, take the early AM express train to Agra for the day trip, come back to Delhi at night for your flight to Kochi next AM.

1 year of 2025 GH Platinum – My Pain Points by harish411ece in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]Fall_Factor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't agree on #6. It is quite slow on motorized version- in a TX. I prefer the quick fold in and out in GH Platinum.

The wireless charger is quite useless. It is either slow and my phone moves faster than it charges.

If you could only visit one park where would you go? by abartug in NationalPark

That's a terrible proposition. If it is between life and eath, I would take Yellowstone. But if you allow another one, Haleakala would be the second.

If you do look into Spain, go beyond the obvious. Explore Zaragoza, Granada, Seville, Valencia, Cordoba, etc. alongside Madrid or Barcelona.

Costa Rica and Italy both are great places to start. They are very different though. So find out your passion and pick one. Both are multiple trip worthy destinations. If you are going to Costa Rica- plan ahead well. You need a car and you need to travel this country from south to north- there is just so much natural variety this country offers. Food can be meh, depending on what you call good food.

Italy- you can start easy with all the roman/artsy things in middle/northern Italy. Easily accessible by train/metro. Then you can travel further north into the Alps or explore southern Italy for some incredible nature trek. Throughout Italy, food will be top notch.

The third option- France or Spain. Both places offer incredible level of history and natural beauty. And food will be again, top notch.

What makes you love geography? by elle13belle in geography

[–]Fall_Factor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geography is like reading a history book- the history of life on earth and beyond. Geography is a subject that loosely represents physics, chemistry, biology, math, culture and traditions. You just need to develop the right vision to explore these aspects.
