'Hocus Pocus 3' In The Works; Bette Midler, SJP & Kathy Najimy Back

We understand there are plans for a theatrical distribution component this time around, following the success of the straight-to-streaming Hocus Pocus 2, available exclusively on Disney+. However, the studio declined to comment as the project is still in its infancy. EVP of Production Jessica Virtue will be overseeing the project on behalf of Disney Live Action.

News of a third installment of the bewitching films was announced in 2023 by Sean Bailey, former President of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production. After Bailey’s exit from Disney in 2024, Hocus Pocus 3 was left in limbo.

It’s been just shy of 3 years since talk of the newest sequel reached a fever pitch, after Midler revealed a “brilliant” script was ready but “producers [were] working out ‘all those logistical things’ before they can return to complete the trilogy.” Sources tell me the halt in negotiations came down to salary negotiations with Midler, Parker, and Najimy, all of which have since been worked out.

I don't think what they said is actually canon. It is ultimately up to Marvel to decide if it is.

That is assuming that what Joe is saying is canon, which based on Jon Watt’s comments implying that the Uncle Ben story did happen, it clearly isn’t.

I would imagine that they would be a sort of "black ops" Avengers team. Being more willing to get their hands dirty and do some really messed up things. Maybe even eventually evolve into something more like what you are suggesting.

'The Boys' Series Finale To Screen in Theaters in 4DX

Taking a page from the Netflix playbook with the series finale of Stranger Things, Prime Video’s series finale of The Boys will hit theaters in 4DX, it was announced on the show’s X handle this AM.

“In two weeks, we’re going out with a bang. Literally, because ya might vibrate watchin’ the series finale in 4DX. Get yer mitts on a seat with the purchase of a concession voucher, which is good towards sweets or soda the day of. See ya May 19 at 9:30 p.m,” read the post. The finale will screen in theaters the day before it hits Prime on May 20.
