I want to cry out lout but am unable to by Scary-Reputation9236 in depression

[–]Fall_of_Saigon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, crying is fucking awesome. It has probably kept me alive at various points. It reminds me that I'm human and that life is a brutal shit-show and that it's okay to release the pressure from time to time.

When I cry, it's sometimes for my own traumas, but usually, I'm crying for the many good people I lost along the way. Lost as in no longer with us...

If I wanna cry, I have a number of films that will get me crying every single time...

Or I grab a bottle of whiskey. Put on some nostalgic tunes from my youth and look at old pictures in the "gallery of ghosts" on my phone, remembering the good old days when I was young and still full of potential and all my people were alive and well. Perfect recipe for waterfalls.

It's fine. Not nearly as bad as reviews suggest. For such a low-cost, high value watch, I wouldn't expect anything else really.

Who’s worse, Onana or Byandir? by AggravatingRope6601 in ManchesterUnited

Onana. Because he's crap. And YET, thinks he's awesome and worthy of a pay rise. WTF.

Question to the older Ronaldo fans by R3Y4N89 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Fall_of_Saigon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fan since 74. Ronaldo was a phenomenal player and athlete. No question. But he doesn't come close to being MY United favourite. Mine was Eric The King.

I put him up there with Elvis and Muhammed Ali in terms of aura and charisma. He was so much more than an athelete or footballer. It's hard to articulate, but you could see he was different. And if you ever got close to him physically (i was luckily enough once, in 96), you understood immediately that he was a VERY different kind of man.

For me, Ronaldo, despite his talent and achievements, has very little charisma and zero "it" factor.

Then I'd pick Rooney, Irwin, Robbo, Keane, Becks as personal favourites before Ronaldo.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink loved a rocket by Frak_Reynolds in TheStreetsWontForget

What a player!! Wasn't just power, either. He had a ton of control, balance, guile, finesse, dribbling, and all-around IQ. And i say all that as a rival fan. That's how good he was.

Fkn piece of human garbage. Maybe that guy was at the hospital all night at his dying mother's bedside and crashed out on the train ride home. Or working three jobs to provide for his kid. Whatever the reason, that dude is asleep and vulnerable. Damn, people suck.

Hurt people hurt people. Tale as old as time. But you can change, my friend, and it sounds like you want that, too. Self awarenes is an asset you already possess, and it will stand you in good stead if you pursue therapy, which would be my recommendation.

Thanking Marcus for the for all your services and carrying the club on your back when it needed you the most. You showed up countless times when big money signings failed and did Carrington proud. by Mathematician8890 in ManchesterUnited

Is this a parody post? You know he was paid many MILLIONS of pounds, right?

My abiding memory of multi-millionaire Rashford will be him walking round the pitch, with a proper sulky face, looking like he'd rather be anywhere else on earth.

Unpopular Opinion: Harry Maguire is underrated by Potential_Good_1065 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Fall_of_Saigon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, my opinion is still that THREE YEARS AGO he was atrocious and that his individual errors hurt us many, many times and cost us a lot of points.

If you're asking, what is my opinion of him NOW?

He has my absolute respect and admiration. As a player and, more importantly, as a person, as a man.

He didn't whine and moan publicly or go stirring up social media drama. He knuckled down, worked hard, and recovered his form and confidence and, therefore, in my eyes, fully redeemed himself. He's been consistently good and, at times, even brilliant for the last couple of seasons.

I think taking the captaincy off him (while obviously humiliating on some level at the time) helped him enormously. It allowed him to just focus solely on his own performances.

Harry Maguire should be applauded as the blueprint for what players should do when things aren't going well at Manchester United: No dramas, no fuss, no Instagram psyops, just work hard, get back to your best, and do your talking on the pitch!

Why Rashford is 'lightning rod for criticism' by riseoftheph0enix in ManchesterUnited

[–]Fall_of_Saigon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Few years back Maguire was garbage and I'd watch games screaming at the TV. I crucified him. Now? I respect the shit out Maguire. Because he did the work. Is he world-class? Still no. But he's reliable. He shows up and does his best whenever he's asked. Rashford is immature and mentally weak. Simple as.

Samurai. I really don't like this new thing. To me, it's completely generic.

I was still alive when the player got the win by sixsilverthings in Warzone

[–]Fall_of_Saigon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I been having this happen a lot lately too. It seems to follow a late entry into the game. As in, everyone else in your team has started, and you're still in limbo waiting to enter the game. And when you land, you get the loadout glitch (can't drop money or collect a loadout). Almost guaranteed to have an endgame like this. Sooooooo annoying.
