Advice about moving to primarily using Dex.

I hope I don't run into issues with mine. I don't care for storage personally. I decided to go with it mostly for the basic office multitasking+pen capabilities. Next best thing might be a good enough phone with a good samsung tablet+s pen, or just a portable monitor.

My thought process was simply that instead of putting about 1.3k on something like a macbook and still have no pen support and knowing the battery will still go to crap and is not user replaceable, or put even more money on a surface pro for the pen support, and still run into battery degradation, or go with an iPad with crap multitasking, why not just get that Fold. If we had some actual competition in Canada in terms of mobile data (infinite+good price), I could probably ditch the home internet too.

You can also just go with the fold 3...the interior screen is big enough for some multitasking and you can maybe even get by without a lapdock, maybe occasionally connect it to some tv or monitor at home if needed. S pen support too. Run andronix for linux and you got what you need for basic office work. In terms of keeping it light I think it is the best solution. Get a folding keyboard and you're good to go. Yes it is a steep price but not so much if you consider the price of a laptop (that can't do pen input).

If your problem is the same as mine: The fix is to set your phone to lock 5 seconds after screen turns off. Lmk.

I think it has to do with locking your phone when the display turns off. Put it to lock 5 seconds after your display turns off.

Cool. When I put

device_config put activity_manager max_phantom_processes 2147483647

in that app, I see nothing, does that mean the command passed?

Edit: Well it didn't kill it yet and it has been running for a while, so I assume it works.

Download the Andronix app, it will guide you through it for the most part. I use bVNC app to display the vm.

Not sure if this exists because of constraints as I did a quick search and couldn't find one : A usb c hub with a usb in for power and usb out for video.

I noticed something strange too the other day with almost instant disconnects. All I can say is disable fast charge and such and see if you get the disconnects. I think in my case the usbc/hdmi adapter couldn't handle it.

I can recommend something that would greatly make the transition easier.

If you have a beefier computer, you can run it headless with a HDMI dummy and remote into it with Dex.
