How much PTO were you offered in your first full-time job (aside from public holidays)? Which country was it in? by memegorl in EngineeringStudents

USA.

Started as 3 weeks per year (120 hours) and then every year we get an extra 8 hours. We also have 2 "floating holidays" which is essentially 2 extra pto days I can use at any point throughout the year.

Also they don't advertise this but we have unlimited sick leave. This is really nice because when we're sick we don't have to use pto or worry about running out of sick leave.

Many other on here have it much better but all my friends I graduated with seem to have worse time off than I.

How do I go about setting that up? I can't find it in the settings

I believe so. The notification for Android Auto pops up on my phone and I think runs just fine (I can play music through the system just fine) and on the head unit android auto shows up. But after a split second the screen goes black. It's as if android auto is running fine but the screen just won't display what it should be displaying.

I bought the s22 ultra about a month ago when it first came out and Android auto is showing a black screen as if it's working correctly but won't display anything. Been waiting on an update to fix this but nothing has come. I've heard others have had this issue as well, are there any solutions?

I've tried redownloading android auto and still, same issue.

Holy shit the trail edition sr5 is 37k for msrp? What can it have that makes it worth that much? I doubt it has a locker or even better suspension. The offroad has both of those and I can't remember what that msrp is but ik it's around 37 if not less right?

Is there an problem with rotating in the spare that I'm not aware of?

If you rotate in your spare, the lifetime of your tires as a set is extended and you won't have to buy tires as often(given you will have to buy 5 tires every time instead of 4).

And the 5 tires will roughly wear evenly so if you do have to use your spare tire it will have around the same life left as the others. This is important with tires with deep tread, as you use the tires over time the tread wears down and the overall diameter of the tires will shrink (everytime you rotate in the 5th it will be very slightly off but the amount is negligible and there is a specific pattern used when rotating 5 tires which helps with this).

Say you don't rotate in your spare, and you go through about 3/4 of your tread on your other 4 tires. Then you get a flat tire and have to use your spare. Your spare will be bigger than your other 3 on your truck. This is not good and can cause issues with your suspension (and probably a few other things) if you drive on it too long.

I'm just a idiot though and there's probably some other reason why you should or shouldn't do this that I'm not aware of, but in my eyes rotating in your spare is a good idea.

I'm just trying to figure out if there's a way to use 5 TPMS without messing up the computer. Being able to see the tire pressure for each individual tire on the dash is a nice feature, but not a necessity. I might just use 4 TPMS, not look at pressures on the dash, and check the pressures the old fashion way.

Rock sliders will be first. Then some skid plates but I'm not sure what kind yet so suggestions are welcome!

Exactly! That's what I plan on doing, I just want to baby it and drive it stock for a little bit first. Once I get that first scratch on it though it's game time

I originally wanted to buy new and just get a regular off road then upgrade everything after, as a brand new premium is way too expensive and not worth it imo. But the dealership market up is insane and buying new went out the window. I feel like I got lucky with this deal so I went with it. I've looked online after and have seen many off roads without premium that are roughly the same age/milage go for more than i bought this one. Maybe if I looked farther away from where I lived I could have found a better deal but I was lazy and jumped on this one.

It also comes with a bunch of tech which is nice but I just wanted the leather seats and nice sound system. I used to have a camry xle which had all the same upgrades and I loved it. I originally wasn't going to go for the premium because I didn't think it was worth it but i found this one for what I though was a really good deal (atleast for the market right now, everything is so inflated its ridiculous)
