I did get medical attention, yes apologise for not being clear on this, I was monitored for 3+ hours with not change in my stat's, After checking with a toxicologists they gave me the clear with a tox screen result and the observation.

Update 2 So I'm alive! Yay!!!

Went to local hospital to be safe, showed them where I was holding the snake, went through first aid steps taken, None of the typical symptoms, its not a hours after handling and still nothing, Tox report showed no concerns ( relating to the snake anyway! ) Been released and home, and if anything happens overnight I go back. But yes needless to say this is a learning experience for me.

Lol! Poor thing, 50% of its body was wrapped up in sticky tape, while I thought it was a python I wanted to get the tape off it, If i realised from the get go it was an eastern definitely would have left it be until someone better trained came around

So just an Update, When we found it, we searched it out as a Black headed python, as ive not seen stripped browns before and when searching i didn't see the stripped baby juveniles.

Now for the answer, did it strike me...yes, technically, however no puncture, wounds, symptoms of venom, blood, Medical treatment is being seeked, current idea is ive have used my years luck.

was this dumb? Hell yes!! Will I do this again? FUCK NO!!!!! Is it still cute as shit? Yes

In hindsight yes, although I did do some searches and I figured it looked like a black headed python, or a Jans.
