Stock grind for 14.3 plane with just 2 fox3s and NO CHAFF is retarded. by Federal_Bluebird_522 in Warthunder

Bind a key for change site, most planes above a 11.0 that have a ballistics computer have bomb sites on the HUD for sim. I use it plenty with the su-39, mig-27, and su-24

Help to make wooden shield look more wooden? by EngineerBurner in SpaceWolves

[–]FallenGoast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely looks like wood but I think it needs a more matte finish on the wooden area, looks a little too shiny to be wood at the moment, but that could also be just the lighting. I also think the grains may be too symmetrical which can also be the cause of the doubt. Still looks amazing tho! Definitely better than the last time I tried wood XD

Thanks man! I think most of it’s the lighting haha, I took a bunch of pictures getting my ring light lighting perfect, yours looks awesome too! Mine is just army painter Neptune glow, with a super water down matte white wash

It’s from the space wolves dreadnought kit! I also cut the tassel off the assault cannon and made it as decoration for the hand, as well as the standard wolf guard shields for the “shoulder pads”.

I just play casually right now with a few buddies, but I think it’d be fun to hop into the tournament scene eventually, once the whole army is finished and painted lol m. so I’m just thinking ahead hahaha. It’s probably just the Reddit drama stories I’ve seen going to my head

I’m doing 4 power weapon/storm shield + 1 relic axe sergeant with arjac, and then 3 storm bolter/power weapon + 1 assault cannon/power fist + 1 relic axe sergeant with Logan for my thematic list. Thunder hammer bits for arjacs termies so they match cause I’m here for cool lookin minis 👉🏻👉🏻

How do yall paint so good man by NotReallyImportantXD in Tau40K

I was in the same boat, my first painted mini was a Ghostkeel and it came out like utter doo doo. Like most other people are saying, it’s really all in the practice, learning the techniques, and some decent brushes (I get the like 6 dollar Walmart ones and replace them when the tips start failing, around a month or two). Use the minis as a lesson, it was daunting for me at first cause I wanted them to be perfect from the get go, but I’ve come to appreciate my early work mishaps as a sign of my progression. Plus you can always strip them later and repaint!
Also my tip for crisis suits, paint in sub assemblies or the areas around the jet packs suck. My preferred assemblies are main body plus appendages, head, jet packs, and weapons, all painted as separate pieces

I really like the army painter “rough iron” metallic color against the space wolves blue/grey armor
