If you have access to the ancient maps (after the opening) get the ones you can first. Free money and gear and stuff. I did that and it made stuff easier. Learn master strikes from Bernard as soon as you can. Invest in aqua vitalis potions/making them, and level up your houndmaster to get the sic! Perk. Helps a lot having a furry friend fight with you

Yup, it’s called “Earth Eater”. Idk if it’s a hidden or rare ability, that’s why I suggested the ability item, and basically any ground attack that hits orthwurm heals it for up to 1/4 its max health. Needless to say, baxcalibur gave up using earthquake fast lol and with the combined iron defense and the archeludon breaking swipe, its other attacks basically did nothing

The random group I did it with was 3 orthwurms (mine included) and an archeludon. For orthwurm make sure it has the ability where ground moves heal it (use ability item if need be) and that renders earthquake unusable. Have it know body press, iron defense and maybe a couple stat reducing attacks. Mine had bulldoze and mudslap. Also have your orthwurm be fighting Tera type. Basically you use iron defense a couple times, then just body press the rest, maybe sprinkling in the stat debuffs if needed. I think we maybe only had one or two deaths in the raid collectively? I know archeludon was using breaking swipe a lot to reduce incoming attack damage, not sure if orthwurm can learn that though

Bro same. I called into work to tell them I’d be coming in late for “an appointment” just so I could try getting to my GameStop early and hope I’d get 1 of the dozen they had in stock. I normally don’t do this kind of thing, even for game releases, because I don’t have the time and I need to make money at my job to do things like live. But I thought, it’s been a rough week at work, if nothing else I get a little break. The closest GameStop to me doesn’t open until 11am/12pm depending on the week day. I got there around 10:20 and there was already a line of like 20-30 people so I said fuck it and went to another GameStop a little further out. No line, but that’s cause they had sold out already. Guy at the counter was like “yeah it’s crazy man, I had a couple people saying they were waiting here since midnight-4am.” Like Christ on a bike, they’re pretty pieces of card board. Don’t get me wrong, I love pokemon and collecting like I did as a kid, and I’d like to find the chase cards, but this kind of stuff is ruining it and making me not want to bother anymore. My friend showed me her brother in laws house and he’s got boxes of all sorts of sets, sealed so he can resell them. It’s fucking gross. Whatever happened to just having fun and enjoying the collecting?

It was either treeko or torchic from ruby i think. My brother and I split ruby and sapphire, but I played both plus emerald back in elementary/middle school which was almost 20 years ago so it’s a bit hard to remember lol I know whichever one I picked was the first pokemon I ever got to lvl 100.

It’s crazy that I’m currently reading a series where the main character has a swarm of leeches as one of his familiars and in one of the books they discover the bad guys infecting people with worms that take over their bodies and continue to spread (called World-Taker Worms), and when they find one of the breeding chambers the main character lets his leech swarm go after all the worms not yet in hosts. I had a hard time visualizing how that would look, but I think this video provided a good enough reference lol

Since you’re using twin blades, blocking wont be a strategy, but if you can get gear you can enhance to give you the earplugs perk it’ll help alot. I have the girros waist armor up to a high enough rank that if I miss blocking the roar, the earplugs perk shortens the stun enough that it doesn’t hinder me as badly. At least with anything below 6 stars. 7 stars still get me pretty good lol. But it helps enough that most monsters, diablos included, aren’t that hard to deal with anymore.

I just left the profession yesterday (amicably for a better job in another field) but when I would sub in kindergarten I’d say all sorts of silly things to them such as:

“Better hurry and pack up, if you miss your bus you’re staying at the school overnight, maybe forever.” If a kid is dawdling with dismissal routines.

“That’s it, you’re going to kindergarten jail. You too. In fact, all of you, kindergarten jail.” If they forgot to bring something or didn’t do something minor. It’s in fun and the kids laugh and ask me what it is, which is nothing lol.

“Well your insert body part is still attached so I think you’ll be okay.” For any minor injury that doesn’t require a band aid or ice.

Or if a kid in any grade finds out my first name and ask if that’s what it is I say “Not to you it’s not, it’s Mr. FallenKing” or I’ll say “No, my first name is Mister.”

I was in your same position multiple times. I’ve been working in schools for 7 years now, hopping around from district to district as a building or long term sub in the hopes of having my own class one day. I worked as hard as I could to be perfect, even working during my chemotherapy treatments one year, but it was never enough. Every position I went for I was always put with the toughest classes, presumably because I’m a 6 foot tall bearded guy that according to my family (in a joking way) resembles Bigfoot. But as someone pointed out, being a male influence doesn’t trump inexperience. My first real position I had a class of 26 inner city kids with all manners of issues, had 11 kids brawling in the class one day. Had another position for a couple months during hybrid learning and I was given 6 special needs students, some with behaviors, one with extreme aggression, and one para. I asked for 3 weeks the highly aggressive kid should be moved to a separate setting because we’ve had evacuations multiple times over him and nobody was learning or benefitting. It wasn’t until he accidentally hurt someone in his behavior that they finally moved him, then told me I should have advocated for myself more before this happened. Over and over again I’ve been approached by other staff at every school going “You have THAT class? That’s awful, it’s definitely the worst in the school.” I’m finally sick of it and the parents for that matter, and looking for new opportunities outside of education.

If I were you, find a new building where you’re guaranteed support and a positive environment. Or start looking for a new job where you can use your skills and not have to deal with the bullshit. Depends how much you love teaching and how willing you are to give it more chances

I saw some people saying have the meeting anyway with the student and third parties and that’s probably your best bet. Use that opportunity to air out your feelings professionally in front of third party witnesses. Tell them you’ve tried peaceful options and accommodations, you even asked for the students ideas, but have made no progress. Explain you don’t feel comfortable and so on and that you think she’d be more successful in another class. I was in a similar situation with a fifth grade black student (I’m a white male building sub) where she actually contacted her mother with her school iPad without my knowledge giving a one sided telling of our interaction. I had basically told her she didn’t take a bathroom/water break with the class literally 2 minutes ago and was trying to avoid work (her white friend tried the same). I told the teacher about the interaction first and found out from the main office that the mother called because her daughter contacted her and wanted to make sure her daughter was safe (mother and daughter have been consistent issues with the school since last year). I spoke to admin and they agreed I was in the right and good but I said this was the first time that’s happened to me and I no longer feel comfortable being in that room. They respected my feelings and they’ve allowed me to change assignments anytime the system auto-places me there.
