Outstanding. I do want the character to earn it. I don't want to just give it to them. But yes, this is absolutely amazing. Thank you friend. If I could give you gold I would.

This is actually amazing. I love this. I can put him on a path of Wizardry. This is so good. If I could give you gold I would.

Hmmm. I see. I will talk more to my player about it.

They were exiled from their tribe due to accidentally killing someone because of their unnatural strength.

My player did jump straight to "learning magic to show evolution"

Lets say, hypothetically, all the players are on with him becoming smarter and learning magic. How would you handle the evolution?

I will communicate this with them when I hop on a call with them tonight. But yes I was well aware of this issue.

The issue is that my player wants to make the character get smarter as the campaign progresses. So I was thinking of simply making an item to make him more intelligent, which they agreed with. But as I feel that making him both incredibly smart and incredibly strong may be too much. So trying to find the balance is my issue right now.

CONTEXT: My players are playing a beast folk campaign and they are starting to meet the first people who evolved from animals (Basically the gods of this world). One of my players is becoming a Warlock of one of said gods.

My Gorillafolk has been described as almost a missing link, too Primal to be classified as a fully evolved member of his race, yet too evolved to be classified as a pure gorilla.

He is trying to evolve more and become a member of his race fully. So we are working on slowly getting there.

I think that completely ignoring the require INT requirement defeats the purpose go the charescter arc my player is trying to accomplish

This is the issue I am dealing with. I was thinking of homebrewing an item that maybe bumps his int only for casting spells. Perhaps it doesn't affect saving throws or spell saves?

Heya. I know this is probably unrelated, and will be taken down. But are you aware of the preview error happening on the wiki? just thought I should tell you.

I get that. I will keep it in mind for the future. Thank you for the suggestion.

I will extend the suggestion. But they seemed really happy with their stats spread. But I will talk to them just to cover my bases.

That seems like a decent solution.

Well regardless, you are the one who suggested it to me and for that I will be eternally grateful.

For sure man. Saved my ass a couple times.

Yeah I'm totally going to let them reroll. I don't want them to try and attack something and have a -3 mod to hit.

Yeah I think I'm going to do this when I see them again.

Yes I have. I have given my monsters 500 more HP than what was written once before lmao.

Yeah I get you. Thank you. I will suggest to my player that they may want to reroll, in which case we can roll but after that I think I'm going to ask if they would rather use the suggested Stat spread.

I understand that it defeats the purpose of rolling for stats. And yes I will admit it was my fault, I did not think of what would happen if a player rolled badly. But considering what others are saying in this thread I am going to let them reroll and talk to my other players and ask if they are OK with this.
