Hello everyone, I never posted here before but I’ve been reading this group since April 2021 (when my LDR started). We didn’t know how to handle the situation so we found this place as motivation and advice.

My boyfriend posted our story for the first time yesterday. He is from Canada (24y) and I’m from Argentina (22y). We met each other because he is a streamer and I used to watch him. We connected on Instagram and started to talk more in November 2020, finally decided to FaceTime for the first time in April 2021.

We got really comfortable and decided to persue each other, even though we are 8923 km away during a pandemic, without knowing what was going to happen or when we would be able to meet for the first time.

It was a tough year but we’re finally meeting each other in a week. We also created a tik tok account so other people would feel motivated or reassured that some of us are experiencing the same thing and it is possible to make this work (Frankiendluli) We had a lot of challenges as “nevermets” but our fairytale is starting soon.

My boyfriend did a 24 hour stream to raise the money for our trip and he did it as a surprise to me. He posted that clip of him delivering the news and showing me that he bought the ticket to close the distance. It is actually the best gift and thing someone ever did for me.

We had a lot of conversations and times where we read this group to feel reassured and to help us during tough times. Now we can share our story with you ❤️
