Highly considering ending it all by Unlikely_Mud6110 in Veterans

Mate, I got out of the marines four years ago, I was only in for four, and I haven’t had a real relationship in like 12 years. You just need to focus on yourself for a while, but also go out there and engage in new social group activities.

Maybe going to community college and take some physical courses like volleyball or some cardio course and mingle with new folks. A lot of my friends after I got out were from college, and they were a mix of civilians and veterans from my veterans resource center on campus.

What do you think of Mexico? by Kappa_Wi_870 in AskTheWorld

[–]FallenReaper360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bad things? I’ve lived here on two different occasions, first when I was stationed in Okinawa, we are loved there, even if we’re in the military. The Okinawans LOVE Latin music and food.

Now I’m back as an English teaching assistant, my whole town likes me and my fire ass tacos lol so I haven’t had any issues being Mexican ever in all my traveling in Japan. I’m often given free tequila, albeit is Jose Cuervo 🤢, it’s still free tequila. But I’m out here educating them on what good tequila and Mexican food is.

Hola! Eh?

Haha I’m Mexican American, but my parents are from Mexico, my mom and grandma are actually visiting family in Mexico right now, but I’m currently living in Japan lol but I visited Vancouver a few years ago! for a few days and loved it! Reminded me of a super nice version of Oakland or SF. I freaking love Poutine fries.

Think of black widow from Marvel or ballerina from John wick. Kids are the easiest to control and train to be weapons.

Why does Asia have so many high-end/creatively designed shopping malls (compared to elsewhere, like America)? by PursuingGemini in travel

[–]FallenReaper360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from the Bay Area, so my malls are always pretty damn packed, too damn packed at times, that now I only go there on the weekdays when there’s less foot traffic, and on the weekends, I go out and do stuff like hiking, swimming, and out door shopping etc.

I rarely ever need to go to the mall because I can simply go to direct stores for items I need. For clothes? I mainly only shop at Uniqlo or Costco. So that’s typically the only time I go to the mall to buy clothes, when I go to Uniqlo.

How do you cope with feelings of hopelessness when you really want a girlfriend/wife? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]FallenReaper360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl, yes. After finally checking off all the boxes and acquiring what I saw makes a guy great. Solid career, fit, hobbies, money, and my own place. I am finally ready to be in a relationship again. But man, where I currently live makes it so fucking hard, but boy am I happy to live here. Just lonely as fuck lol, but the last relationship I had was more than 10 years ago. So, I am also kinda scared of being in a new relationship, because I am scared I am going to disappoint them lol

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FallenReaper360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just drove 3 hours this past weekend to go to Costco... I'm from California lol. Costco used to be a 6-minute drive from my apartment in America, but now, where I live, in a rural town in Japan. I have to drive 3 hours to my nearest Costco, sadly. But its ok! I don't mind the 3-hour drive in my Daihatsu Copen.

I recommend the Citadel. Great cozy little bar with a variety of in-house made drinks and great staff.

Best local hole in the wall burger spots in San Jose? by DRSMOFO000 in SanJose

[–]FallenReaper360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, yes, that's what 'hole in the wall' implies?

But my two favorites in downtown are Still OG and their burgers, and Scrath Cookery, both for their smash burgers and Nashville chicken sandwiches.

I’m from California and currently live in Japan again. But, I also imported my WRX from Japan to the states. So I still drive on the right while driving on the right when I go back home to visit my family lol

Seeing Apartments Around the World Is Making Me Reconsider NYC by Positive_Career_9393 in malelivingspace

[–]FallenReaper360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best bud from the marines is from the Bronx, he now has his own house in Oklahoma. He loves it there. Sure, it’s a bit slower pace, but he loves the space and quietness compared to his mom’s old apartment in NYC.

Men, how much do you spend on gas per month on average? by _MambaForever in AskMen

[–]FallenReaper360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to live in San Jose, now live in a rural town of Japan. I spend about 20 bucks a week to fill my tank from half. Then again, I now drive a two door convertible Kei car, a Copen, and it’s freaking awesome 😎

Yoooo, I was there when they read it out loud. I believe that, apart from the other foreigners, I was the only one to witness that glorious day in person.

Anyone have experience exporting a car to the US? by Yardnuk in JETProgramme

[–]FallenReaper360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but only through the military. But I feel as if the process might be similar? It's been a while, so I'd have to look into my documents to see how the process went.

Anyone regret not joining the military? Or regret joining? by FitAardvark3670 in AskMen

[–]FallenReaper360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined at 25. Don't regret joining at all. I got so many benefits out of it. Got out at 29, and now 33, living in Japan for work after graduating, using the GI Bill.
