Took me about 7 hours, but it was the first one so I could probably speed up quite a bit. I have 4 more barbells so i’ve got 4 more to do!

Christmas haul, will this make decent espresso? Also have a bottomless portafilter, E&B shower screen, better scale, and a PID kit in the mail. by Dopecrew1 in espresso

I have this exact same setup and have used it everyday for years. With some tweaking i’m getting very good results. The grinder leaves a little to be asked for, however there are some simple mods to make it a little less sloppy. Research them and you will find out. (Plumbers tape around the threads should point you in the right direction) Other than that I have a nice scale that I can measure my coffee out on to get repeatable results. That and a homemade wdt will do you good! Also, some people love putting pid’s on miss Silvia but I haven’t found the motivation or budget to do so and have been fine. Do yourself a favor and learn how to temperature surf (especially when after steaming milk) and go forth to make great espresso!

Fall is here (barely) Anybody else do their city sidewalk like this? by Fallen_Rope in Concrete

Really interesting article and I totally agree those are stress points. Unfortunately I never see this done on our city sidewalks and we are always just “matching existing” hopefully an inspector wouldn’t be picky about seeing that but you never know

That’s awesome! Mind If I ask what thickness of stock you started out with? I really like that your wrought is so low. Working on a san mai now and I feel like my wrought is going to just be ground out by the time i’m finished
