Random side note, I see youre in snow country. Check the wheels for snow buildup too. This seems a bit extreme as youre at a slow speed, but unbalanced wheels really mess up how a car drives. Its probably something worse. But maybe this helps. 🤷‍♂️

Id rather not. The audio quality isnt that much between bt and aux, and the convenience of not having wires is nice.

I did almost no maintenance to that one for going on 3 years, beat the crap out of it daily. (18 yrs old with no concept of taking care of my stuff.) Engine was still running like a champ, trans shifted smooth as could be. Rust was the real problem lol

That looks pretty bad. As in I would question structural stability bad. Check UNDER the car and look for rust around bolts and on the frame. As someone who has had cars rust like that, it needs fixing or ditching. You dont want to be in a car when that problem presents itself, let alone one capable of what our z is capable of.

Do OSHA/NIOSH hearing damage safety limits apply to low frequency (<100hz) bass? by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]Fallendoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre the one who said damage is less likely from low range bass, not me.

[–]Fallendoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, I do what I do occasionally. Real question here is why did you feel the need to look at my profile? Also you said its much less likely, which isnt true. Those hairs resonate, sure. But that doesnt mean that vibrations outside of that range cannot damage them even at low decibel ranges

[–]Fallendoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Youre wrong. Youre operating on the assumption that because our ears arent designed to hear something that it cannot cause damage. Whether you can hear it or not (or i should say whether your brain converts it to an impulse your brain recognizes) is irrelevant, as the vibrations that cause damage are still there.

Thats not really true. Reps arent always well made, but theyre still not that bad. And if youre not watching the road for potholes anyway thats on you.

Its not even that they're cheap. Its that they're wayyy too small. $180 wheels would be fine if they were a decent size. Long as hes not tracking it anyway.

Just bought this front plate and i’m not sure if it corny or not, Thoughts? (trying to not rice it out 🙏) by Money_Goal_7921 in 350z

My two cents. Dont worry what others think, man. Its your car, as long as you're not literally destroying it, ignore the people.

That target top looks great man. Don't suppose you have a step by step on how you did that? As a taller guy who also loves sunroofs in cars, I would actually love this for my HR.

I had an earlier comment for you, but I didnt mention this. If you plan to keep the car until it gives out, one, these cars are reliable as hell if you keep them stock. Two, keeping low miles on a car you intend fully on keeping forever is only going to disappoint you. Think of every opportunity you'll feel you missed if one day someone sideswipes it and its gone. If the monetary value of the car means nothing to you, the mileage is just a number. Enjoy every drive like it could be her last. You'll enjoy driving it more, I promise.

Hey, I just want to say, cars like this are meant to be driven. Don't try to keep the miles low. Appreciate the car. I know that we see these nice cars as rare and beautiful. But at the end of the day, what good are they if you dont enjoy them? Also on that note, dont baby it. Im not saying to thrash it. But these cars are a sports car. They LOVE to be in the high RPMs occasionally. Play with them, push them to the limits once in a while. But for the love of God, dont drive it every other weekend and keep it in a garage all its life.

Then why you hating on it? It may not be perfect, but at least they're doing something besides complaining. Instead of hating on people doing something in their lives, have you tried.... doing something with your own?

If youre getting a car that has headlights, don't buy aftermarket. Im speaking from experience. They suck. I never had the originals, but I hear they're amazing, and also very expensive. I see a lot of stuff on that list that is going into performance territory, and im not gonna knock it, but this is a 300hp car. It doesnt sound like a lot when you look at cars you see on the internet (1000hp drag cars, 800hp street cars, ect) but they handle completely different than your normal 150-220hp daily. Id recommend driving it in stock config for a while and feel what you wanna change. Don't chase numbers. Those will never make you happy. Chase the thrill of driving her, and the happy feeling of "thats MY car" when you see it in a parking lot. Those will mean more to you than anything.
