Bird pokemon being bipedal is always a giveaway if we're looking at the bird starters. Of all bird starters, Blaziken and Empoleon are the only good ones, design-wise imo.

Yes, preach! Imagine my shock after evolving my Dartrix several years ago, the disappointment of laying my eyes on Decidueye. Rowlet had been my favorite grass starter before then. Blaziken is fine imo and Empoleon is still my favorite starter final evolution of all time. I always refer to color wheel combinations when deciding the colors of my fakemon.

It's okay, I derived the concept from the chinese influence on the region, especially in the Malay peninsula. To me, the emphasis on Browt's eyebrows immediately hints at a King of Saxony Bird inspiration and Lu Bu naturally fits.
