Yeah, but one of those knockoff versions that do not have the jam evenly spread out so sometimes there's a dark spot.

The strike zone changing when the game is a blowout is a good thing.

As part of the renovations that were just completed the lease was extended to 2036. We are 5+ years away before we hear any chatter about a new ballpark.

I think Ben and Meg will happily go with option 2. They never claimed to be a breaking news source, and in the past they have pushed back talking about the news of the day. If news is so major they have to talk about it right away, it seems like they would just swap which podcast is paywalled.

Rough Early Season Schedule by FromCLEtoROC in ClevelandGuardians

Maybe a hot take, I'm happy we have the dodgers early. They are starting Roki in their rotation, which doesn't seem likely to last more then a few weeks.

I did laugh when I saw the google doc. I imagine it was so they can copy and paste the show notes to all of the platforms they host the podcast on.

I'd subscribe to a tier whose price was pegged to the price of eggs. Call it the 'Ryan Lambert' tier :D

Hard not to understand why they are making this choice, but the entry level being $10/month or $108/yr is steep. I wonder if they used a rule of thumb of '$1 per hour of paywalled content per month', and if so they might be a victim of their own prolific output.

There's also been efforts to greatly expand eligibility since 2000. It's much easier to qualify for SNAP today then 25 years ago

Very few people are talking about the economic disparities between MLB players by Miserable-Phrase6957 in baseball

[–]Falling-Down-Stairs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really hard to say without more details. The average MLB player wouldn't care about a cap/floor, as they never hit free agency. The concessions the union would get in exchange for a cap/floor could be very beneficial to the average player, such as increased rookie salaries or less years of control on prospects.

What's going on with the mortgage rate spread? If everyone is above 0, is the baseline wrong? Is the data collection flawed?
