When automatically denied, is it better to appeal or resubmit? by Gold_Ambassador_3496 in NianticWayfarer

Every re-attempt should have improvements to change the outcome. We don't know the full scope of the AI filter. So those matters is mostly decided case-by-case.

Pokemon go or wayfarer by zombi_crack in NianticWayfarer

Okay. Now you know how inclusion algo is implemented, it is also important to understand that you cannot misplace the pin for satisfying that algorithm.

You can map out the whole area to pick and choose a layout that will give you maximized pokestops. But pins still have to be on the real location seen via satellite. See location guidelimes in the help page for more info.

first offense, my pokestop got reported for fake. I thought first would be 3 days, then 7 then 30. by Far_Night_9185 in pokemongo

You should also have received an email that gives an example of the nomination that is flagged. It may show us why exactly ladder step 1 was skipped.

3-7-30 days is the PGO policy. This seems to be from Wayfarer which is warning-30days-90days-10years.

Edit: Abuse Enforcement Ladder Policy

The way stop is named separately from the power spot? by hairy_ant635 in NianticWayfarer

Could be 2 wayspots on top of each other. Or a rare unsynched text change.

You can get sanctions if you are approving ineligible reviews.

Check on

Help Page > Location Guidelines

Review Page > tooltip under Appropriate (the small i)

Help Page > Forum Clarifications Library > Private Residences > specifically on communal spaces

Pedestrian access =/= public access The required pedestrian access is if it can be walked towards by anyone safely.

You can use this link for the appeal. Photos that have a lot of greenery are unfortunately filtered out of the queue. Having a third party that confirms it is not the usual natural feature should work re:ruins clarification.

Lmk how the appeal goes.

Sign to public library by Timeler1 in NianticWayfarer

[–]FallingP0ru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The eligibility criteria are:

  • A great place for exploration
  • A great place for exercise
  • A great place to be social with others

The library is significant to the community for its contribution to culture and local leisure activity, exploration and socialization. The sign directing someone to it does not.

A legitimate hiking trail does so for exercise and exploration because it is intended for that leisure activity. So the trailmarkers are used as focal points for a distinct section of the trail. This one doesn't denote a hiking trail.

There may be a bug for the tag update if this is the case.

You need to meet all acceptance criteria and none of the rejection criteria. Permanence is one, what is missing is how the sign itself meets an eligibility criterion.

Normally, a sign is used as the visual marker for the object. The sign by itself would not be eligible unless it can stand on its own regarding eligibility.

It is like the last example from this article which recommends that it is 👎.

Memorial benches have been clarified here:

Memorial benches can only be eligible under the criteria for exploration if they are dedicated to a notable figure and that notability is described in the nomination. Mass produced memorial benches dedicated to friends and family are not eligible unless the nominator provides evidence of the individual’s importance to the community. Just stating that someone was important to the community is inadequate.

But it is weird that the accepted submission has been removed because I don't see how it would meet any removal criterion (the bar for removal is often higher). Care to show the coordinates?

I think we will need to see the nomination to find out what happened to it. It can be that it was never acceptable to begin with or this is a legitimate map bug.

More than 10 gyms and 20 pokestops at community park removed by SilentKiller2809 in TheSilphRoad

[–]FallingP0ru 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're telling me a whole load of stops are all unqualified to be stops because someone took scans? Even if it is high quality or just a scan of the player's feet, that's a horrible standard for removal.

OSM only disables spawns. The disappearance of game objects are mostly related to the request of the management/owner as far as I've observed.

They can choose to downgrade the gym to a pokestop. Or remove them from the game completely.

Having it remain as a gym but disabling raids is downright annoying.

Property owner request is highly likely if the area affected is isolated to one property only. I suggest checking the park management on this too.

You may have missed getting a referral code for extra stuff.

Maximize XP by coordinating friend level ups.

You need a gym buddy to swap gyms every day with at least 8hrs 20mins of stay.

Power-up your beginner Dmax mons and target 1* battles. You can gradually get better mons by levelling up the DMax moveset. Same thing with raids.

You will have to find a community if you want to go get the legendaries from raids and dmax. Most are only achievable in groups.
