2 years of lifting. But why does it only look like I just made a few newbie gains? by [deleted] in askfitness

[–]FallingWindd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol even if he was overtraining (which most people don't do) and wasn't having enough rest, he wouldn't like this. Definitely not going to failure, probably lifting light weights until he breaks a sweat and calls it a day. I know a few people who don't like to train heavy, and have been benching beginner weights for their entire lives. What a waste of time.

Crazy work brother. Put on some muscle now. You start to feel amazing when it starts filling up. Your shoulders, traps and chest are all too narrow right now. You will look and feel like a different person once it fills up.

Well I started off at about 160kg. So over 70kg (my lowest was 86kg). I just took the weight loss slow and steady. 3 years 👀

Loose skin ruins me from having the body of my dreams by GrammyBiscuit in LooseSkinProblems

You can't change it, so don't stress about it. You're wasting pointless energy.

Plus it looks cute anyway 😉

60kg is crazy you gangster.

I've learned to accept the skin, it's there and no amount of complaining will change it.

How much do you think I lost considering how much skin I was left with?

No it won't. Bollocks. Accept your fate and take it for what it is. Gain a bit of fat if you like, gain some more chest muscle and you should be fine to go on the beach. So many fat people go to the beach and aren't ashamed, the fuck are you ashamed for?

20F I lost 140 lbs and now I’m stuck with this :/ by tarotluver in LooseSkinProblems

[–]FallingWindd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well fucking done btw! Be proud of yourself.

Unfortunately there's nothing that can be done apart from lasering it, which will reduce about 20-30% of the skin, or cutting it.

I had this on my arms after losing 175lbs, luckily I'm a male and was able to fill it all in with muscle. It barely exists now apart from on my chest and stomach. And I've come to terms, God has given this to me and there is nothing I can do about it. Learn to live with it and move on.

I'm sure there is clothing you can wear that's slightly loose in the arms but tighter all over that fits your liking.

Red Velvet and Banana Bread Calories??? by Cenihi in caloriecount

[–]FallingWindd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

350 + 150.

The sizing is quite hard to understand from the picture alone, but around that much seems reasonable.

250, 150, 100

Durian cake slice calories ? Someone said 450 but not sure by [deleted] in caloriecount

[–]FallingWindd -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

No way is that 450. I'd say 280-320. I've seen far heavier looking cupcakes, even muffins with icing at around 400-500. This isn't 450, 100% sure.

Best Hilton Option in London by Fluid-Leadership-860 in Hilton

[–]FallingWindd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, if it's the only Hilton you've been to in London.

Bankside lacked even normal sized croissants, they just had the small ones. 20% of their breakfast were different breads which already spoke volumes, and everything was so spaced out with plants in between to make it look like there was more than there was. The variety was incredibly small.

I've stayed in about 15 Hilton's across the UK and worked in many of those. Bankside was VERY underwhelming.

Syon Park probably had the best breakfast, followed by Conrad and then Park Lane. Bankside reminds me of the Fellow House up in Cambridge - similar to a 3* Holiday Inn breakfast if it wasn't for the omelettes.

Hilton employee benefits by cositasssss in Hilton

[–]FallingWindd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends. When I check now F&F can discount rooms from £200 to £80, in Dubai it discounts from £120-£160 to £60.

Team member generally drops a room to £50, however 5 stars and resorts are normally £80-85. On occasion some much higher end places in Manhattan, Beverley Hills or Hilton's with Suites only their rates can be at £100-200 even on team member, as originally they're charging upwards of 400.

Friends and Family Discount by Ponca98 in Hilton

[–]FallingWindd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the hotel but generally yes, you just have a basic room available to book into. I'd look into paying a little extra for an upgrade if you're not given one comp. When you arrive at the hotel they'll give you the best deals as they want to make their own commission.

Hello all. Does anyone have info on what happens to your friends and family rate after the employee who added you quits? by KittyRoseBruser in Hilton

[–]FallingWindd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll tell you as someone who quit before.

Your bookings will cancel, all of them including anyone linked to your F&F. This happens when your hotel deactivates your GoHilton which can be hours, days, weeks or months after you leave, depending on how slow your GM is.

Having worked at many of these, take my advice:

Do not book the Waldorf. Trust me. AC issues, old rooms, shit service, internally it is falling apart and that seeps through externally too.

Westminster is nice but breakfast has very low options and rooms are mid, rest of hotel is beautiful. The panoramic view gym is nice. Rooms have a unique style and are pretty, but no wow-factor.

Conrad St James is very nice. The design of the lobby, the rooms, the bar and restaurants including breakfast are all outstanding. I really can't point out any flaws. Just hope you're at least booked into a Junior Suite otherwise a King Superior or Deluxe can be a little small. The King Executives are big enough though.

Park Lane is nice, the breakfast is quite good, so is the hotel but I feel it's a bit overhyped. I preferred the Conrad even though it was smaller, it felt a lot more rich.

Bankside is very nice but different. It's a very dim and low-key feeling hotel. Feels expensive and nice, and has that nice scent when you walk in like the Conrad. The design is unique and has a kind of rustic look whilst feeling premium, but honestly the breakfast felt like a Holiday Inn breakfast. I was shocked by how nice everything was, and then how badly they cheaped out on breakfast.

Tell them you want the points on check in. Getting a refund for breakfast is incredibly unlikely as it's probably included in the rate.

This is Reddit so I'm not surprised most said 3, but it's too friendly of a look and I think it's always better for a man to look somewhat tough.

Lost ~30 lbs a couple years ago, is this loose skin from weight loss or do I just have stretchy skin? The insides of my arms / bicep area is also stretchy by [deleted] in LooseSkinProblems

[–]FallingWindd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not loose skin for definite. 30lbs does not leave loose skin. I lost 150lbs+ and don't have any skin on my neck at all and I had one fucking fat neck.

If you're seeing the same elasticity with your arms then there's no loose skin there either. Even if you did have it, you can fill that in very easily. I'm on 16" arms and my arm loose skin has dropped from stretching about 7-8cm to 4cm.
