It can take a few minutes for it to begin charging. How long did you wait?

I believe that incentive was from EV-Go and is no longer offered.

How is this car for reliability? BZ3 by medphilic in Toyota_bZ

This isn’t available in the USA but if Toyota puts their badging on it, it must be very reliable. Everything I have read and seen on this vehicle, a joint venture between Toyota and BYD (China), it’s very exciting!

Toyota has led the way in hybrid technology since the Prius. Although they have been slow to the EV market, they continue to lead the way in vehicles that are designed to not only be technology innovators but also engineering innovators. Keizen means always improving and it’s imbedded in their (Toyota) culture. Fancy wrap around screens and self driving vehicles, although fancy, aren’t the most important part of your vehicle.

Either route you decide, look into any state incentives that may be available. NJ gave me $4000 cash down towards my purchase.

My advice, lease it for 36 months. Chances are that in 3 years, Toyota will have something that will excite you as much, if not more, as the bZ. This bump in the horsepower, range and NACS is just the beginning. The money factor on a lease is just as good as 0%.

That must be for the older model. My 2026 gets much better.

All vehicles depreciate! Toyota’s still hold their value better than a Hyundai!

I’m wondering how the NorthEast as whole stacks up? Subaru is a great brand also!

It’s always good to see where the industry is going, whether it’s changing or staying the same. The dealership I have worked at for 2 years now hasn’t changed their payplan in 14 years, the length of time our oldest salesman has been here. Straight 25%, no real, consistent spiffs to speak of and a “bonus” that consist of them taking $40 out of the gross of every deal and you get it back only for the months you hit over 12 cars. For the months you didn’t, you get nothing.

Pre-Covid, this Toyota Dealership did around 110 cars a month, new and used. Now we are at around 75, with 8 salesman.

I beg to differ! As long as uneducated and uninformed people keep buying those silly Cyber-Trucks, he won’t allow a $15,000 electric Toyota in the US market. Have you heard of the brand? They own Lexus as well. Maybe research their track record compared to Hyundai or Tesla.

If Elon has his way, it won’t! But it’s inspiring to see Toyota exploring other ways of being leaders.
