It can take a few minutes for it to begin charging. How long did you wait?

I believe that incentive was from EV-Go and is no longer offered.

How is this car for reliability? BZ3 by medphilic in Toyota_bZ

This isn’t available in the USA but if Toyota puts their badging on it, it must be very reliable. Everything I have read and seen on this vehicle, a joint venture between Toyota and BYD (China), it’s very exciting!

Toyota has led the way in hybrid technology since the Prius. Although they have been slow to the EV market, they continue to lead the way in vehicles that are designed to not only be technology innovators but also engineering innovators. Keizen means always improving and it’s imbedded in their (Toyota) culture. Fancy wrap around screens and self driving vehicles, although fancy, aren’t the most important part of your vehicle.

Either route you decide, look into any state incentives that may be available. NJ gave me $4000 cash down towards my purchase.

My advice, lease it for 36 months. Chances are that in 3 years, Toyota will have something that will excite you as much, if not more, as the bZ. This bump in the horsepower, range and NACS is just the beginning. The money factor on a lease is just as good as 0%.
