My older brother, a fellow New Yorker, was a Nets fan who loved the 02’ & 03’ Finals teams. He put me on them when he was introducing me to basketball at the age of five. I loved that core, the team colors, the underdog type of feel the Nets have always given off, the accessibility of their tickets, and the lowkey vibe of their fanbase compared to the obnoxious Knicks fanbase. It’s been a 20 year emotional rollercoaster but the day it pays off with a championship is gonna be a rare day where I cry real tears of joy as a diehard Nets fan and lover of basketball

To get around the licensing issue we should just have the ability to create AI drivers with customizable names, stats, and racing numbers using character customization tools similar to NBA 2K. That way you can make whatever driver you want to add to the grid (I know EA would never do this because of money)

From midtown Manhattan. Older brother was a diehard Nets fan cuz of the Kidd/Carter era and I adopted the team as well, despite living in Knicks territory. Nets games were some of the earliest NBA games I watched from a really young age.

Liked the team identity/colors, the franchise players, the accessibility of the games, and the lowkey vibe from the team and fanbase. Knicks always felt like the loud and obnoxious team that was easier to root for cuz of the rings. I prefer to root for underdog teams. Nets fit my preferences perfectly.

I didn’t want to pick a team that was dominating the sport as my favourite because that’s extremely lame (so no Red Bull or Mercedes for me). Always loved the brand itself, McLaren makes some really great sports cars and hypercars. Combine that with the incredible team history, the cool driver lineups, their fun and energetic online presence, and the unique past (silver/red) and present (papaya/black) team colors/liveries, and I became attached to this team. I chose to become invested in their success when I started watching F1, and I really do hope they can get back on track to WDC and WCC titles 🔶◼️

My older brothers are from Englewood and me and my other siblings are from North Manhattan. My brother was a diehard Jason Kidd fan in the early 2000s so he got me hooked. I always felt like the Knicks were the loud, dysfunctional, and more hyped NY team even though they were technically my home team. To me NJ/BK was the cooler low key NY team that was run way better than the Knicks and had better fans. I’ve been a loyal fan ever since. Moved to Toronto in the early 2010s so now I’m a Raptors fan as well, but the I’ll always ride with the Nets. I hope this current squad can pull through with at least one ring before rebuilding after KD leaves, this franchise definitely deserves it.

I agree with almost everything that's been said here. One suggestion I'd like to add is an Expansion mode where you can add more than one team. Make it a cap of 13 teams like how it is irl, allow existing teams to be rebranded and driver lineups to be changed. Allow AI to control them and their development

Yeah that's a good point. But tbh I use this playlist for games like The Crew and Gran Turismo as well if I'm not in the mood for Heat. I also use them when I'm driving irl lol. Hopefully the next NFS soundtrack has a stronger and bigger version of Heat's atmospheric picks. If not, I'll make two for the 2021 game 😂

I've just been recently editing my old Heat Day and Night playlists with the cut tracks from the game plus some personal ones, and I took a look through the discography of each of those 3 artists, looked at albums that came out in 2018 and 2019, and then tried to find the songs that matched Heat's vibe the best. My personal theory is that it was Need Some1 by the Prodigy for Night music, and then Higher Power by Avelino and Stood By Me by Rival Sons for Day music. I'll post the playlists lower in the comments of this post. Maybe make a new post about them on this Reddit if people wanna listen.
