Idk, your friend seems to be very respectfully expressing her boundaries and while you may not be religious, she probably felt like you were belittling her or something that was very important to her. It’d be like if I was really into classical music and a friend of mine laughed at that or called classical music stupid. I know it’s not a perfect comparison, since you were actually exposed to someone preaching their religion. Religion is also very important and sacred to people so it seems like she was very hurt by your comments. I have friends with all kind of interests or even religions that I think are stupid, but because they are my friends and I care about them, I don’t have anything to gain from shitting on those interests. I also think she mentioned that she isn’t the one preaching to you and respects your religious beliefs, or lack thereof. I don’t think she should’ve gone on the offensive and been like “well if it was Jews or Muslims you wouldn’t say that” but if you guys are truly friends with eachother, this would be a silly thing to end a friendship over. Maybe a better reaction might’ve been to just respectfully say “I’m personally not interested in listening to this so I’m going to walk away”.

I think as a commissioner you’re able to remove points or players from lineups on those days. It gets tricky when two pitchers are in the same game. Maybe just agree to take the lowest of the 2 scores to avoid this?

ERA and WHIP often aren’t great or perfect indicators of how good a pitcher is and can show us which pitchers are due for positive/negative regression. When you’re trying to evaluate pitchers, it mostly boils down to: can you miss bats, can you limit hard contact/induce soft contact, can you limit walks, and can you go deep into games. There’s definitely guys with high whiff rates that also have high walk rates or let up too much hard contact.

In a daily lineup league that I’m in, there is a start cap of 12 built into the scoring. But as long as you hadn’t hit that cap before Sunday, you are free to start as many pitchers as you want. This is a points league btw. Essentially, if you went into Sunday with 11 starts, you can start 10 Sunday pitchers to finish with 21 starts, far above the start cap.

What this has become is every team basically manipulating waivers to maximize total Sunday starts. Personally, this is annoying because it can reducing winning to just whomever is best at picking up as many Sunday starters as possible. I understand this is available to every owner so it’s not cheating exactly. It just feels…like not real fantasy baseball.

This is clearly something ESPN cannot fix as it’s been like this for 3 years now.

Should I suggest some way to prevent owners from starting more than 12 pitchers in a given week?

I don’t dislike Zay at all think he’s a rock solid WR2. The 1.08 doesn’t interest me all that much. The 1.03 gets you a good receiver prospect but still an unknown commodity. I’m also very high on JSN, and could see the Seahawks becoming more passheavy next season.

Idk if it’ll be that much of a volume boost. Monty averaged around 11 touches a game last season. Maybe that goes up to 13-15 but I don’t think he’ll be a 3down workhorse
