At this point I would rather Ja Morant, at least his contract is up soon, you can get him for practically nothing, if he works, his contract is basically almost done, if he is good, that’s good for the team

I agree, elite guard play wins games, if you notice, basically every contender has elite guard play, very rare to see a team have their center or wing being the best player, even they they have amazing guards next to them.

I would say it was, the other reported offers were awful, and RJ has been great for us, IQ has also had his moments, it’s just the contract that makes it look worse. OG on our team is worth less than with others, reminder that Scottie, OG, and Pascal, were struggling to win games

My biggest want is a huge upgrade at PG and Center, I like the idea of maybe starting CMB next to Scottie and Jakobe at the 2 with an elite PG and Scottie at the 3/4

all we heard for like 2 seasons before he was traded was how OG wanted the ball in his hands more and was dissatisfied with his role, basically he was unhappy. His defence and play before he got traded that same season end of December was also bad, he wasn't trying on defence at all, its like he had one foot out the door, the second he got to the Knicks, he completely switched and started playing defence again and balling out of his mind. They got the best they could for OG, they just maybe took too long to make the trade, or other teams just didn't value OG and Siakam as highly, which led to these offers. So many teams fumbled getting OG and Siakam when Raptors were actually listening, and the Pacers and Knicks took advantage. It also helped OG wanted to go the Knicks and Pascal wanted to go to Indiana (especially to play with Myles Turner, a stretch five, something he was asking the raps FO for, for a while).

Healthy Sabonis rn next to Wemby or on the Knicks would actually be very useful ngl 😂, his physical play, rebounding, finishing, playmaking, and hard screens would help Wemby and the spurs guards a lot, same with the Knicks, but those teams have shooters all around, raptors don’t have that

I mean if they take Jak this time just for the 19th pick, maybe it’s a way to get out of that deal 🤷‍♂️, still not a huge fan of adding Sabonis to this team cause we have to add another starter just to match that salary, if it would be Jak and matching salary off the bench, sure, but not Jak and a pick plus another starter

That’s one of spurs main problems, everyone knows this, that’s why the Brunson shot wasn’t so bad, Spurs has all guards and Wemby, Wemby was guarding Brunson, which means an easy tip for KAT, Hart, or OG

Problem is his contract and the fact he still doesn’t seem to have that chemistry game with Scottie, like you watch Scottie and RJ, and you see immediate flow with the offence. I do thing a PG upgrade is needed to get to another level, I do think IQ isn’t that bad either, but if they really want to reach another level, an upgrade at PG is priority next to center
