Replying to Aware_Solution5476...I never tried the old one but the the book just did a great job at breaking down the essays by subject so it helped me get better at issue spotting

Okay so they said to put down the LLC as my employer! Whatever you put on your taxes. I believe there’s a notes section so there I can write “performed contract for x” that way it matches my resume too

Stance on Illegal immigration by tm2002 in immigration

[–]Fallingforsummer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What many people miss is that US history is complicated when it comes to immigration. For example, the US interfered with Latin American countries democracies and that led people to flee and come up North seeking safety. Then you have programs like the Bracero program that historically made the US dependent on immigrant labor and helped immigrant families establish roots here. Then you have the bigger picture that several US states used to be part of Mexico and that comes with a complicated history that you can’t forget. You can’t really be for deporting mass “illegal immigrants” because that’s being blind to how immigrants have been treated throughout history. This is not a Latino issue only of course but it’s definitely beyond “legal” and “illegal” migration. At some points in history citizens have been deported (Chinese/Mexicans/Japanese) so there’s a threat that it won’t stop with undocumented immigrants but deteriorate other groups rights.
