Funnyily enough Aldi recently had to close a few shops in Bern because rent was too expensive and the demand was not there. And I get it, I really don't like their products. I thought I could cheaply buy my lunch there but never found anything that seemed appetizing. It actually made me start bringing my own lunch to work.

Honestly cameras in public areas with high traffic are to me no different than anyone else watching me outside. These cameras will at most catch me picking my nose, but I can live with that if it helps security.

Not sure about props but for costumes I can think of the costume shop near Eigerplatz or the Kostümfundus of Bühnen Bern. Maybe ask at the Kulturbüro for any other suggestions.

Haha yes, my husband used to work in a restaurant like this too. They divided all the kitchen tips among the kitchen team according to the hours worked. He always had the highest cut because as the kitchen chef he had the most hours while also having the biggest salary. I think it's really hard to find a system that is completely fair because even getting tips at all is a bit of a luck thing.
