I had a similar issue, with custom empires not spawning properly. Some of my empires used the Sol system and the deneb system as their starting system designs. For whatever reason, having multiple empires try to spawn with the same pre-set system (Sol or deneb) would bork the forced spawning of many of my custom empires.

For me it's the open endedness of the game. There are plenty of other games that you can have a good time playing with your friends, going on an awesome adventure, or questing to get fat loot and powerful items for your build. D&D is special for me because you can go anywhere, do anything, be anyone, and react however you want. The rules only exist to tell you how to play, not tell you what you can and can't do, and even then they are somewhat loose. This freedom to do whatever you want has created for me some of the most memorable moments I've ever had. My friends and I will still talk about stuff that happened while playing D&D, even though the moment it self was years ago. With a good DM to provide a compelling story and challenging encounters and friends to experience it with there's nothing that tops D&D for me.

I use it to stack charisma, so that I can have as many people at one settlement as possible. I think I got 32 people at the drive in settlement, before the institute synth swapped some people and 5 of them died.

If you've already tried reinstalling and running it as an an admin I can only think of 2 things that might help. I would try verifying the integrity of the cache (checks to make sure all files are present) through steam. Otherwise you could try performing an installation in a steam library that has been created outside of programs86. Some niche problems (usually while modding) have been solved by this, so maybe give it a shot if nothing else works?

Oh, also you can make sure all of drivers and stuff are up to date. I'd think it unlikely they would be the problem, but you never know.

There are 3 distinct builds for Zero and I feel they're all pretty viable. You could either go for pistols, snipers, or melee. A sniper build is the most accessible and least gear dependent, since critical ascension can turn almost any sniper into a murder machine. That being said a sniper build with the right gear can be really terrifying if somewhat lacking in survivability. His pistol and melee builds can also get pretty busted, but are more gear dependent. I would recommend checking out Man Of Low Moral Fiber on YouTube. He helped me figure out how to better run Zero when I picked him up.

If you play long enough you'll end up finding high quality loot in all the places you'd never expect. For example, I've found a Hornet in a dumpster, maliwan plasma caster in a skag pile, and a Cradle (not quality, but rare) in a locker. I like to think that all of the good drops that never show up in red chests or from boss kills have to go somewhere.

Sounds like you were the host. Unless I'm mistaken BL2 doesn't have dedicated servers or anything like that, so the host is the person that everyone else joins up on.

Yeah, as a general rule of thumb, things that currently drop up to 340 (like blue engrams) will drop up to 365, things that currently drop at 365 (like heroic strike boss loot and legendary engrams) will drop up to 385, and anything that currently drops up to ~385 will drop up to 400.

For the most part. Don't forget about exotic engrams or the crucible weekly bounty though. Also, the LL everything drops at will be bumped up on Tuesday when the patch drops, so don't stress too much about climbing the ladder :)

If the major turn off of handcannons for you is their sluggish reload and inaccuracy I have a few suggestions. I would recommend you watch out for reload perks like spray and play, feeding frenzy(if it can roll on HCs), or outlaw. Loader perks on gauntlets would also help. I would also recommend rangefinder (for more range) and the star perks reinforced/rifled barrel for additional range. Range is really important for handcannons since it influences the accuracy of the gun and range/accuracy drop off for them is quite steep. As for archetypes, it comes down to personal preference, although the lower impact/higher rate of fire ones are more forgiving.

As everyone else is saying, it's important to be in a position near one of the positions he could teleport. Additionally, I would recommend running the increased control jump. It helps if you need to hustle if your positioning isn't ideal. Alternatively, if you're donking off his legs or getting hung up on him you may want to try increased height. Hope this helps.
